Ferris Bueller: He lost with a whopping 71%-29% margin. That's a serious defeat. Don't over simplify his defeat. Palin and Beck are NOT that strong. It's a lame excuse to blame them. Inglis deviated from conservative principles and many conservatives and independents are sick of it. It should serve as a warning to those in the Republican party and a reminder of whose interests they are to represent. Interesting that he immediately ran to the liberal press who eagerly took on his complain.
In the past, Inglis carried a good record with conservatives. But they began to question his conservative leanings and many began to see him as a liberal in a conservative coat. Apparently Inglis didn't understand that you don't insult your base if you want to be reelected. That's how politics work.
How come I never read you liberals complain about the Democratic dirty politics in Illinois? Yeah, that's what I thought.
Is it NOT ironic that you liberals here are all over yourselves defending a Republican? That is too funny.
Inglis isn't the only incumbent that needs to watch out. As many of you liberals have pointed out, many Republican leaders have simply sold out their party. Inglis was one of them. Those in the congress don't get to decide the will of the people. Inglis never learned this important truth. The people decide their own will. At least the conservative thinkers do. Most Democrats let their leaders do their thinking.
Obama is getting to be more unpopular than Bush. How can you explain that? And what's this with so many liberals talking about "buyers remorse" when it comes to Obama?
Conservatism is on the rise and there will be many casualties. Most will be liberals. But some lazy conservatives will find they are out of jobs soon.
Note that many of these goals are being violated by some members of the Republican party. Also note how some of them have been targeted for defeat in the upcoming elections. Only true and pure conservatives will find an endorsement from the Tea Party.

Al Gore's 'moral sense' and 'integrity' By Steve Milloy, GreenHellBlog.com June 23, 2010
The same day that Al Gore allegedly sexually attacked a masseuse in Portland, Oregon, he said the following at a presentation of his infamous slide show:
"[Global warming] will give us the chance to experience something few generations ever know - a sense of moral purpose." [Source: The Columbian (Vancouver, WA), Oct. 25, 2006]
The Columbian went on to quote one Jonathan Potkin who said,
"I admire that fact that he could just as well have left well enough alone [and left public life]. I think he is a pretty genuine character. It's too bad there aren't more people in government who have that same integrity."
POP QUIZ: Which of the below isn't like the others?
We, Obama's "liberal base", of which I'm a charter member, were in numb denial that our former community organiser, who elicited such an outpouring of love from his vast network of volunteers, is actually just another Illinois pol – but with a better vocabulary.
Asunto: Evidence of racism in the Obama administration.
Adams places the blame for the dismissal of the case on racism.
..the dismissal is part of a creeping lawlessness infusing our government institutions. Citizens would be shocked to learn about the open and pervasive hostility within the Justice Department to bringing civil rights cases against nonwhite defendants on behalf of white victims. Equal enforcement of justice is not a priority of this administration. Open contempt is voiced for these types of cases.
Some of my co-workers argued that the law should not be used against black wrongdoers because of the long history of slavery and segregation. Less charitable individuals called it “payback time.” Incredibly, after the case was dismissed, instructions were given that no more cases against racial minorities like the Black Panther case would be brought by the Voting Section.
Is this the view of Justice under the administration of Barack Obama? Are only non-whites allowed to have their rights protected by the nation’s law enforcers? Is perjury and obstruction of justice from the DOJ now allowed?
These are very serious charges being brought forward by Mr. Adams. Charges that strike at the very heart of our American republic. He is reporting that equality before the law and freedom from racial discrimination is not offered to all Americans.
The Justice Department refuses to cooperate with the US Commission on Civil Rights investigation, so there needs to be an independent prosecutor appointed to get to the truth, and it must be done immediately to guarantee the integrity of the upcoming mid-term elections.
Former DOJ Official Charges Racism Drove DOJ to Kill Black Panther Voter Intimidation Case by Jeff Dunetz You probably don’t recognize the name J. Christian Adams Mr. Adams name, but you will very soon. Adams recently resigned from his position as Attorney in the Voter Rights Division of the Department of Justice to protest the racism, perjury, and obstruction of justice surrounding the DOJ’s dropping of the election day 2008 voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther party.
On election day 2008, members of the New Black Panther Party in Philadelphia, wearing black berets, black combat boots, black shirts and black jackets intimidated Caucasian voters with racial insults, slurs and nightsticks. They were arrested with another party member who was accused of managing, directing and endorsing their behavior. The entire event was captured on videotape.
Two months later the Justice Dept filed a civil complaint against the New Black Panther Party. When the court date arrived In April, a federal judge had ordered default judgments against the Panthers because they refused to respond to the charges or appear in court, basically a guaranteed win.
The Justice Department was in the final stages of of recommending a sentence when a delay in the proceedings was ordered by Loretta King, a brand new Obama political appointee who was the acting assistant attorney general.
King met with Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli, the department’s No. 3 political appointee, and another political appointee, Steve Rosenbaum, and decided to drop the case. Along with the dropping of the case Adams says the DOJ issued a directive that the Voting Rights division was no longer allowed to bring cases such as this against minorities.
For the past ten months the US Commission on Civil Rights, a federal agency, has been investigating the Justice Department, trying to get to the bottom of why the charges were dropped. But the Attorney General of the “most transparent administration in history” has decided not to cooperate.
The number one law-man in the country, who is charged with being the chief truth-seeker of the United States has been obstructing justice by telling members of his staff to ignore subpoenas.
Honoring SSG Sal Giunta, the First Living Medal of Honor Recipient Since the Vietnam War by Jim Hanson SSG Sal Giunta, a paratrooper w/ the 173rd Airborne, will be awarded the first Medal of Honor given to a living recipient since the Vietnam War. He earned this by charging a group of Taliban who were trying to make off with a wounded comrade in the Korengal Valley of Afghanistan. His actions broke the Taliban’s attack and allowed him to regain control of SGT Josh Brennan. He also saved the lives of the many other members of his unit who had been caught in a fixed ambush by the Taliban. Giunta didn’t hesitate one second before advancing on his own to ensure the enemy would never take one of ours, but sadly Josh Brennan was too badly wounded too survive. His cousin PVT Joe Brennan recently graduated airborne school and has joined the same unit proudly carrying on Josh’s memory.

Obama Policies Unfocused, Ineffective Say a Plurality of Voters Brad O'Leary President Obama's inability to stem the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico or jumpstart an economy mired in a deep recession is weighing heavily on the minds of voters, according to the results of a new poll conducted by Zogby International. That poll finds that a plurality of voters feel the President's policies are "unfocused, disorganized and ineffective." The poll was conducted June 25-28 and surveyed 2,061 likely voters.
Those numbers will grow and only get worse for Obama.
Supreme Court Justice nominee Sonia Sotomayor came off as a 2nd Amendment defender when she was being questioned during her confirmation hearings. She voted the other way when a gun rights case came to The Court.
Can we now trust Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan?
Bernice: It's funny. I'm the only one from the right that regularly posts here. So FBs post is directed at me. So instead of dealing with ANY of the issues, HE gets personal. He calls out names. Even though he is complaining about that very thing, he still does it himself.
June 29, 2010 Kos Pollster Fired for Faking Data Clarice Feldman Daily Kos is certainly one of the most popular left blog sites, so it is with interest that we learn that its pollster upon whom so much of its stories were based, was just making it up.
DailyKos founder Markos Moulitsas has admitted that some or all of the surveys the site conducted through Research 2000 may be faulty - even fabricated:
I have just published a report by three statistics wizards showing, quite convincingly, that the weekly Research 2000 State of the Nation poll we ran the past year and a half was likely bunk.
June 30, 2010 SEIU official under oath indicates Obama lied Thomas Lifson Thomas Balanoff, head of the SEIU Illinois Council, testified under oath at the Blago trial that President Obama called him to lobby for Valerie Jarrett to be named by Governor Blagojevich to replace Obama in the Senate. This directly contradicts the President's repeated denials of any direct or indirect contact with Blago to influence the naming of his Senate replacement.

June 30, 2010 Kagan can't answer, Do we have the power to tell people what to eat?
Sen. Coburn: "If I wanted to sponsor a bill and it said, ‘Americans, you have to eat three vegetables and three fruits every day,' and I got it through Congress, and it's now the law of the land, gotta do it.... Does that violate the law?"
Kagan: "Sounds like a dumb law."
Sen. Coburn: "Yeah, I got one that's real similar that I think is equally dumb." (ObamaCare)
Kagan: (Pause) "But I think the question of whether it's a dumb law is different from the question of whether it's Constitutional. And I would think courts would be wrong to strike down laws that they think are senseless just because they're senseless."
Sen. Coburn: "I guess the question I'm asking is, Do we have the power to tell people what they have to eat everyday."
Kagan: "Senator... (stuttering).
Sen. Coburn: "I mean what is the extent of the commerce clause? We have this wide embrace of the commerce clause which these guys (holds up the Constitution and Federalist Papers) never, ever, fathomed that we would be so stupid as to take our liberty away by expanding it in this manner."
June 30, 2010 Obama finally accepts international assistance for Gulf spill Cliff Thier AP tells us "US accepts international assistance for Gulf spill
More than two months to get to "Yes."
But, we shouldn't get too excited. The Administration is just beginning to "work out the particulars." Who know when actual work will get started.
H.R. 5175: The bill requires that every time an organization runs a campaign ad, its CEO must appear in the ad and twice state his name and the organization's name. The top five funders of the organization behind the ad - even if they had nothing to do with the ad's funding - must also have their names listed in the ad.
Most 501(c)4, 501(c)5, 501(c)6, and 527 groups - would have to list all donors of $600 or more with the Federal Election Commission (FEC)
This is designed with ONE idea: Chip away at possible Conservative votes.
How low will the Democrats go? As low as necessary.
rod03801: I think there are those here that simply took an opportunity to make a non issue an issue. I agree that it is an offensive word. But that was the point. It was being argued that the Democrats racial past was just that, past. But that's not the case. Robert Byrd, who just passed away, used that "N" word in a recorded interview. This interview was RECENT.
LBJ said that he'd get the blacks to vote for democrats by giving them political favors/concessions etc. And when Blagojevich was considering what to do with the open Senate seat, he was recorded as saying that he should choose a black candidate as that would appease black voters. It's worth noting that Blagojevich is from the same political machine that Obama came out of.
Something about an apple not falling far from the tree comes to my mind.
Now that I've PROVEN that the democratic party not only has a long history of active racism in the US and the many of their policies are racially based, time to move on to other areas where the Democrats show their true stripes.
Asunto: Re: And when the civil rights bill was passed, I read that those who were racist moved to the Republican party.. A complete switch over.

(V): You dodged the question once again. So you must have made that up (you are lying again).
And using the "Nword " IN CONTEXT hardly compares to going into a black neighborhood etc. You know I was quoting LBJ. But instead of dealing honestly with the point, you choose to go off in some stupid direction. Go alone.
Asunto: Re: And when the civil rights bill was passed, I read that those who were racist moved to the Republican party.. A complete switch over.
(V): That's laughable. Show your source with proper references or I say you are lying.
As for the "N" word, there was NO REASON to remove it other than to keep the wild bunch from getting their undies all in knots. Clearly the context matters.
I'm not here to coddle to your false sensitivities. What a joke.
Some people complained about my use of the "n" word when quoting that racist president LBJ. I find it interesting that they find it offensive that I would post that word, but that they are NOT offended by those who actually use that word. Instead, what we see here is the usual liberal approach when confronted with their own sinful history and despicable past - either change the subject, shoot the messenger, or simply make excuses.
This tactic well-defines those in on the liberal side of politics. They don't believe in personal accountability or personal responsibility. They make excuses, or obfuscate the facts.
Liberals would do well to recognize the serious flaws in their party, both its history and its present form. But they won't. They will continue to ignore facts or alter them, project their flaws onto others, make phony accusations, or tell outright lies. And if the past tells us anything, the liberals will go out of their way to vilify the opposition, all the while promoting policies that actually hurt those they claim to be helping. It's a sad state they are in and is only made worse because they can't see what's right before their very eyes. Blinded by ideology.
As the result of liberal historical revisionism, few Americans realize that Democrats ruled the segregated South until the 1960s. Democrats were the party of Jim Crow and Bull Connor. Senate Democrats, including former Ku Klux Klan recruiter Robert Byrd and Bill Clinton mentor William Fulbright and Al Gore, Sr. filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The stalemate was broken by Senate Republicans ensuring passage of the bill.
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy ... I mean, that's a storybook, man."
Who was wowed by Obama's oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama -- a 'light-skinned' African American 'with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,' as he said privately."
GTCharlie: Exactly right. The left found Byrd useful and Byrd found changing his outward ways useful. The country was changing and if he wanted to survive politically, he'd have to change too. There is nothing noble about that.
Clearly, the Left would NOT whitewash this man's history if he were a Republican.
Even after his resignation from the Klan, Byrd continued to hold it in high esteem, writing to the Klan's Imperial Wizard in 1946: "The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia."
And Byrd was old enough to have participated in filibustering the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as to have voted against it after cloture along with 18 other Democrats -- in the name of the Constitution, of course.
"I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side… Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds" ---Senator Robert Byrd --- (D-WV)

Who was it that was standing in the school house door preventing black from attending a public school. Yeah, a democratic leader.
History reveals that it was Democratic Attorney General, Robert Kennedy that approved the secret wire taps on Dr, Martin Luther King Jr., and it was Democratic President Lyndon Johnson that referred to Dr. King as " that N preacher." Senator Byrd referred to Dr. King as a "trouble maker" who causes trouble and then runs like a "coward," when trouble breaks out.
And these days the left plays the race card all day long. Against Obamacare? You're a racist. Don't like Obama as president? That's because you're a racist. Jesse Jackson - a racist as is Al Sharpton.
Are you for affirmative action? You're for race discrimination. All the entitlement policies can be traced largely to the Democrats. They are bribing the people with their own money.
A lot has changed since 1830 but then again, a lot has stayed the same.
(V): I never said they didn't change. I said they can trace their origins to the 1830s and that they are still the same party. The Democrats reinvented themselves when the lost the slavery fight and the segregation fights. Now they just exploit blacks and minorities in other ways.
(V): I said they can trace their roots back to the 1830s, lol you posted this fact yourself. And this is the SAME party that favored slavery. And it wasn't too long ago that the democrats were for segregation.
(V): They are the same party and can trace their roots back to 1830. They even admit this on their own website (minus the racial hate stuff). So let's see, go with Jules' spin or the DNC's own website.
(V): Exactly Jules. I posted some of that same information. The Democratic party arose in the 1830 and is the SAME party today. They are the SAME party that joined the Klu Klux Klan, voted to keep slavery legal, and these days they use race to gain political points. The democrats USE blacks to gain power. They KEEP blacks believing they are discriminated against so that they (the democrats) can come to their constant rescue. They are a corrupt and vile party.
Asunto: Re: what about the point that da bad un's have guns because they know the occupier might have guns or the cops.. so as such things get potentially lethal more quickly.
Black GOP Republican need not apply for membership in Black Caucus Ethel C. Fenig Years ago Groucho Marx proclaimed he wouldn't want to be a member of any organization that would actually admit him. Perhaps Tim Scott, a black Republican from South Carolina who has a good chance of becoming a representative to Congress by winning the general election in November, feels the same way about joining the Black Congressional Caucus. As John Steele Gordon of Commentary Magazine's Contentions blog points out But assuming Scott is elected, he needn't apply for membership in the Congressional Black Caucus, of course. It's a measure of how little the left in American politics has changed in the last 50 years that the Black Caucus - devoted to race-based politics and victimology - admits only liberal Democratic members. Scott is black; Scott is not a liberal. Could he sue for discrimination?
