I've always found 3 day limits to be good - which is why almost all of the "Fast Start" tournament (which I need to start some again), always have 3 day limit.
Plus as I can tell we may need 40 days to get together enough 10 player 6x6 teams, 40 days seems like a long time to wait. 20-30 days would probable be enough in my opinion.
Because I was looking forward to a 6x6 tournie which had the likely hood of being a quick one LOL
Then the bombshell hits, not a lot of chance of getting that many players to join so may aswell give up on the idea of being in it with a team
i like 2 days too, grenv, for the same reason! Internet can be spooty at times here in Korea. I've had a tech over at my crib thrice in 2 months.
Temo, Antje: sorry, harley and bobes got to me first. I *could* leave the tank battle team, but I onlly would if the Sunshine Club tank battle team had enough members and the other team didn't. I'm not good at tank anyway, i'd just be a body!
Problem with one day, even for us faster players, is time outs. I had a freak day last week and didnt access the web for over a day, and got timed out of 5 games in a 1 day tournament.
I mean, you can play 25 moves pergame per day, but if you miss one day, you are out.
How about 2 days then?
It would be nice to have some sort of overall game limit, or sometging of the like.....hopefully someday :)
The first team tournament went off at 3 days per move. The new ones are all at 5 days per move. Why the change? It seemed like the participation in the first one was high. I havent heard anyone talking about a massive amount of time outs from any games. # days seems like a good middle of the road time limit that should work for everyone. Or maybe 5 days and deactivate the weekends? As it is, a 5 day tournament game can last 420 days for a 30 move game, plus vacation time, and holidays.
I think that team tournaments should be under 1 year in length, for the whole tournament, not 1.15 years+ just for one game. Our memberships are only good for a year, we should be able to play a team tournament, and have it finish within a year.
I vote for 3 days team tournaments, that is plenty of time....
Redsales, you can join our team Brains of space....we need a member for tank battles for sure. And maybe you should become a "Loop team" member later...
The end is in sight for the end of the first part...down to 2 players and their last moves...Come on Kevin and KevJon...you can do it....gooooooo team!!! Rah-Rah sis boom bah....
Is there going to be another prize like in the first heap when the winners of their section got a knight membership??
This tournament is for any player rated under 1500 in a game ---- OR ---- if you are currently unrated and would like to try a new game, this is the perfect tournament to join! (since you don't have to worry about "expert" players beating you too quickly!)
Only about a day left to sign up
Under 1500 BKR (or unrated)
I will remove players who are rated way above 1500 before tournament start (already removed a couple)
Each game time needs AT LEAST 4 players to start, and there are a few currently with 2 or 3 that could use another player to start.
come on girlies,
The cavemen have got a team together for a laugh, lets see you join in the fun also :o)
Its only a game and we should be getting on and playing games together....oh and we need to get our pride back after the backgammon fiasco LMAO
No, you haven't been conned rebelyell, that's still the rule. Knights can join ONE team tournament at a time.
Knights can only join one tournament of a game type at a time.
But knights can play in a team tournament (backgammon for example) and also play in a normal backgammon tournament at the same time so it is possible to play in two tournaments of the same type that way.
No its not changed... You can obviuosly be captains of as many teams... but to play in them is different... its one of each game for normal tournaments! and one of the team tournaments.
Its a wink UE , not only cant you spell, but youve not even learnt the net yet either.
Say what you like, I dont care, nothing to hide, but say it on gen chat rather than here
