computeropponen: Before Brainking I only played ordinary chess, too. You could try some variants. I don't play ordinary chess online because of the cheating
computeropponen: Some people have hundreds or even thousands of games and always use the full time limit.. some others move very fast.. I'm an average player with 200+ games and quite some moves every day
pgt: The oldest tournament I play started in 2008. It's true that it's possible to create tournaments which will last for decades. But we could have looked at the timing when we signed up ;-)
crosseyed: It's not about opinions, it's about rules. You agree to the rules of a tournament (and the time limit is one of these rules) at the moment you sign up. Because of that it's not ok to complain about the rules later.
Anyway, you'll win the tournament some months later.. I recently won a tournament which was actually over in February. That's no problem to me.
Thad: This isn't a problem that only occurs at single elimination unless you play 2 game matches in a normal tournament. By the way, if a game is too unfair (which Chess is certainly not) I wouldn't play it ;-)
I agree with arpa, that's very "unpleasant"! This:
# The tournament will not be started until the first prize reaches at least a double of the entry fee. Players are informed about this status on the tournament page. #
means a prize tournament can't be started with less than 8 players.
Hi, another question: I was deleted from a tournament because I didn't have 10 free slots, now I've seen on another tourney "5 free slots needed"; was it changed or does it depend on the tournament? Many thanks :)
<Under "Help->Tournaments" is the link "how to create" empty, could anyone tell me if a rank 2 membership (Knight) can create a tournament or do I need to be 3(Rook) for this?
