LOL, background music to play by. It would make it interesting to be able to hear music from other countries that way. Liquid would really be having to sit on the servers!!!

Ha! Fencer will have fun translating that!

LOL, yep, you can tell I'm sleepy, huh! I probably would not have even bothered to post otherwise too. :-) I'm off to sleep. Night all!

I agree though. I tried to use the notes feature a couple of times. But I don't see what I wrote with the current layout. Its too far down the page.

I dont remember ever seeing anything about this, why do we have only one Big Boss for Fellowships? It sure would be easier to share some of the duties, like accepting new members.

Fencer, what happens then if someone does a gift of $5?

I've thought about that too. If you have a move option of picking who to play, its easier to choose from who is online.

LOL, your right harley. I think its really more of us venting than anything else.

Oh no, Animal, I never meant to imply that pawns are the problem. The problem right now is more of a hardware issue of the server becoming overloaded. As grenv said, its just that pawns do not contribute to the solution, becuase they are non-paying members. If a large portion of players online at one time are pawns, would not that mean that the majority of resources were be used at that time by non-paying members? I think that is more of where I was thinking.

But you got to remember, the auto refresh is turned off to pawns.

I don't really want to restrict pawns, but I guess I was thinking how frustrated I get when I think that I am a paying member and cannot get on. Then when I do, I find there are 70% of non-paying members on.

My apologies to the pawns. Its nothing personal.

I was just thinking, Just how many moves a day can someone make with only 20 games? I do not really like the idea of limiting games or moves since that is what drove me away from iyt years ago when that policy first started.
I'm looking at the listing of most active users and there is only 7 people who had more than 400 moves. Of course, that does not list pawns.
If I could wave a magic wand, I think I would limit the number of pawns to access the servers at one time. At this moment there is 59 players online. 43 of those are pawns.

Excuse me, unacanta, but the last time I checked this is not the chess discussion board.

Fencer has been working on it, hallertou. Its actually something like a bug in the system.

Almost all my Battleboat games do that!

I'm not sure I understand. There already is new message notification for favorite boards and message box. Simply add that fellowship board to your favorites.

Asunto: Backgammon
I havent seen anyone suggest this, but I would like to see the game play so that if a player cannot move, it will automatically skip them and go back to the next player. I think the game would move easier in this case.

Asunto: Re: A few thoughts
Clink clink! ok here's my 2 cents into the pot.

I like Ian's idea about the email reminder. I think it would bring a repsonse of pawns returning and hopefully upgrading eventually.

I also think deleting pawn accounts after 6 months of not logging in is a good idea too. But I wonder, just how much server space would that free up?

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm not crazy! LOL. and I didnt think of that, but that was when it stopped working what when I changed the default. Thanks for finding it. <grin>

Asunto: Move and go to (game#) box
Has anyone noticed that while the 'move and go to main page etc' box works, the other one 'move and go to game#' does not? No matter which game I select, it goes to the 'next game'

Asunto: New idea
I just thought of something and wanted to toss it out. This is so much of an international site, I think it would be cool to have posted somewhere all the different translations of "good luck" etc. What do you guys think?

Asunto: Server?
Fencer, I was just wondering... How many users can the server handle at one time? The server says at the time of this posting, there is 34 users online, but the screens are taking almost 3 to 4 minutes to change.
