Asunto: Re: i say again...
Most games have certain positions where autopass/automove would be useful. That is, any position where there is only one legal move (including “pass”). I would use it in any game if it were available, it quite simply saves time. I am surprised whenever I see that others disagree.

Any chance of an opinion poll on this subject? ;)

It’s also worth pointing out that if you click on the game in the waiting games list, you can see “Score of finished games ([opponent’s name] – [your name], [game type])”. If you have played against them in that game type before, there are also links there to show all the games of that type you’ve played against that opponent and all games of any type you’ve played against that opponent.

Asunto: Re: Frog legs (and other new games)
Rainbow Road: Chinese Checkers can be played on a star board with 2 players and one set of pieces each, but it would then be almost the same as Halma 8×8, just without the ability to move directly forward or back.

Is it possible to make some matches in a round start before the previous round is complete?

In this tournament for example; the first 7 third round matches could be started even though the last 2 second round matches aren't finished yet, but currently the system waits for every match to be completed before the next round starts.

This would help speed up tournaments.

Asunto: Re: Games total
While you're at it, why not add a few columns to that page:
Total games as first color (or just named "first color")
Total games as second color (or just named "second color")
Total rated games
Total games (not particularly important, anyone can add two numbers)

(this post isn't intended to be as rude as it may sound)

Asunto: Language link on the main page
on the old style and now on the castle style, there was/is a link to the Languages page, which I use frequently for the translations.
Why is there no link to it on the main page in the simple style?

(I hope I'm posting this in the right place…)

oh, and I mean the finished games list in a player's profile, if that wasn't clear.

Asunto: Color distribution on Finished games list
It would be nice if there were two extra columns on the finished games list showing how many rated games the player has played using each color. They could be titled "first color" and "second color", to get around the colors being different for different game types.

I'll also restate my request for a total column showing the total number of rated games played.

Asunto: Time left and vacation days
If someone is using automatic vacation, it would be useful if the time left column on the main page included the number of vacation days they have left.
For example this game between me and MJL is currently showing me that my opponent has less than an hour left to make his move, however his profile shows that he actually has 29 automatic vacation days, so he has 29 days left before he times out, not less than a day, so it should show that on the main page.

Asunto: Game list filters
While so many good features are unavailable to pawns, I find it very strange that the game list filters are available to pawns even though it is useless since pawns can only have 20 games.
So I request this feature be made optional or even not available at all to pawns, since this is more annoying than it is useful

Asunto: Re: Go Judge
joshi tm: Then surely you deserve to lose? I was under the impression that ending a Go game by passing and marking dead stones was just a way to finish it quicker if it is obvious one person has won.
If you would lose by continuing on then you have lost the game fairly and should accept that, rather than trying to cheat your opponent out of a win by passing and hoping they make a mistake in your favour while marking the stones.

Asunto: Re: Unrated games
pauloaguia and nabla: I would also have the same suggestion about the "not counted" option, which I don't see the point of anyway and would prefer if, instead, all unrated games were also not counted and the not counted wasn't a seperate option

What is the point of an unrated and counted game anyway? besides messing up finished game statistics.

Asunto: Re: List of player's BKRs
While we're at it, add ongoing games alongside wins, draws, losses on that table (yes I know it's called the "Finished games" table)

Asunto: Inactive users
I suggest that inactive accounts be deleted after, say, a year of not being used. I understand if this is impossible for certain reasons though. I'm suggesting this because some people may want a username that exists on an inactive account, for example I'd like to change my username to MTC to be consistant with the username I have on most other websites, but that name is attached to this user, who has been inactive since 2003.

joshi tm: Ok, a pawn will not enjoy those players

Why? It doesn't matter to me at all, I can't see why it would matter to anyone.

Asunto: Re: Action Points
What's the problem with not resigning? I don't expect people to resign the moment they know they've lost, nor do I resign myself should that be the case, I see no point in resigning at all. Is it that much of an inconvenience to some players? I'd say the lack of auto-pass is a much bigger inconvenience.

Matarilevich: I know it's free because I can see it. My suggestion was to show Total and Average BKR for each player on their profile page, or at least your own

Asunto: Total and Average BKR
It'd be nice if we could see Total and Average BKR scores on the profile page that shows all the individual BKR scores.
There are already stats showing the best Totals and averages, so I don't see why not

(or is this one of the things only paying members can see?)

Asunto: Game list in Profile
OK here's a real feature request, instead of a misplaced Bug Report:

1. It would be useful if the list of Finished games in the profile could be sorted by clicked on a heading, list the Main Page table.

2. A column for Total Games played would be useful too.

Asunto: Errors...not sure where to post this
There doesn't seem to be an error reporting board, so this board seems to be the logical place to put this

1. When my opponent moves a rook in Chinese Chess, the blue outlines don't show around the starting or ending square

2. I just recived a message in both English and French when losing a Cylinder Chess game.

chessmec: I've been wondering why these boards aren't thread-based already, they are the strangest discussion boards I'v ever seen.

Its likely very comlicated to implement though.
