Radiant, it is with great sadness and regret that I tell you that my kid sister will not discuss religion with anyone or me.

Radiant, thank you for your prayers. I am back home after attending the funeral in Brooklyn, New York. Tom was not buried in Sellersville, PA near their new home of only a year and few months. He was buried next to his brother, Michael who lost his life performing his duties as a firemen in the 9-11 tragedy. His mother has just her daughter left as both her sons passed; both very young. My sister is doing well but after her best friend leaves her home after staying with her for a week and she finds herself all alone in that big house; I will have to worry about her in Pennsylvania. I will keep in touch with her by phone and sending her notes of encouragement, understanding and sympathy.

Thank you Scarlet Rose, Dolittle and Nirvana. I had a minute in between packing my suitcase and needed to do something to get my mind off the emotional three days ahead of me, my sister and Tom's family. See you here when I return.

My dear friends at Brainking:

My sister's husband, Tom, passed away in his sleep for no apparent reason. He was not sick and had no known illnesses. They are performing an autopsy to try and determine why he died. He was only 43 years old as I am 17 years older than my sister, Mary Ann. I am leaving for New York, where he will be taken from their home in Pennsylvania to be buried in the Brooklyn area, near his only brother, Michael, who died in the basement of one of the Twin Towers on 9-11-01, . He was one of the firemen that perished in that horrible tragedy. I feel so bad for the boys' parents as now they will bury their remaining son Friday, November 5th. I will return Nov. 8th. Please say a prayer for my sister and her beloved Tom and his family.

Ronaldo is in intensive care in the County Hospital and is unlikely to make a full recovery. He is not going to be well enough to return to Brainking.
Margaretta (his wife) asked Fencer to pass this awful news on to me. It is with sadness I pass this on to you.

Rodeogirl, my Mom passed away Oct 17, 2002 so I know exactly how you feel. It is so awful when you lose a parent. My father died when I was almost 5 so my Mom served as both parents until she remarried when I was twelve. She always did her best for my brother, sister and I and I think of her all the time and miss her terribly.

Yesterday (Oct 6th), my husband would have been 72 yrs of age if he had won his battle with cancer Jan. 15, 2000. Just wanted the angels to tell him Happy Birthday from me. I will never forget what we had together and I miss him a whole lot.

Just had a PM from Dolittle that her sister is in the ER and in bad shape. Say a prayer for her and her sister as I am doing here now.

Niki, I was surprised to hear from you as my comments were aimed at wolfie5. I have no idea why certain persons would be posting on this discussion board if they do not believe in prayer or a higher authority. I am not that familiar with persons that are agnostic anyway. I do not pass judgement, just comment and make suggestions. I will never argue religions or politics as each person is entitled to their own convictions and believes. I do not want to make anyone angry or dislike me because of what I believe but I do make a comment here and there. I do not think badly of those who do not believe what I do or are unsure what to believe. I was very interested in your message about Glaucoma as my boyfriend's mother, age 86, has been blind for years because she has Glaucoma and he (Joe) and his brother and 2 sisters are very susceptible. It seems Glaucoma is an inherited affliction. Thank you for your comments and do not judge me or come to the conclusions that you did about my comments. Thank you for understanding.

Only a fool does not believe in prayer in this day and age because if you have no faith; there is no way you are going to make it with the world situation and peoples' lives that are messed up. Yes, prayer is powerful and I, for one, know it works miracles to pray. Not enough room here to prove it to you and list all the small miracles in my life of turmoil.

ScarletRose, so glad all is well with your brother. I can only repeat what I said to BananaD; lots of power in prayer.

BananaD, praise Jesus/God. It proves it over and over again how much power there is in prayer.

ScarletRose, I am sure all the prayers will lead your brother, Tom, to much better health. There is so much power in prayer. I said one for you so you do not have to worry about him so much.

rodeogirl, my prayers are with you both. My husband died from lung and bone cancer so I know the road that is ahead of him.

BananaD, I said a prayer for your sister also.

mindy, I really enjoyed reading what you put here. A lot to think about and do; praying to God to intervene. Yes, I agree; Prayer is powerful!
