Tuesday: I think that's because that right got taken along time ago. that they were banned from posting in fellowship, pming, and quite a few other things and each time saying "I'm sorry, I'm a good guy" ... and ... "I'm the no.1 flamer" don't give rise to much confidence. And that many a 'flamer' (to use a term) and non flamer think this person goes overboard... hence the confusion.

Otsikko: Re:
Pedro Martínez: Well If I was really to say everything on a public board in relation to that matter, I'd get banned. As much is such it does not belong on public boards.

Other matters, are common knowledge. So, in respect of those items which do not belong on a public board I gave you "some gibberish."

And with respect if you knew this "some gibberish." you'd find it strange that this person is let back on... even stranger is the nature of the account formation after the fact that the creator is supposed to against this person and making promises over helping this person.

And Roberto Silva last paragraph has much substance. Many people are stopped from entering the UK over using false documents despite previously being denied visas. And can be liable to criminal prosecution as well as immediate deportation.

Otsikko: Re:
Pedro Martínez: Because of the lack of the time and the nature of the way of the banning.

You are missing the point of LJ, that person got banned for a long time, and by all accounts, the person in mind was as worse or close to, hence the bans.

Otsikko: Re:
Pedro Martínez: LJ is back... after how many years?? We are not asking Fencer to track every account, just to adhere to a reasonable banning period, which we all thought from past site bans (and big bans) was in place. Otherwise... what is the point of them happening? Everyone who's been banned might as well be let off being banned as of this moment if this account is allowed straight away after the extent of the ban and how it came into place!!

Otsikko: Re:
Pedro Martínez: Sorry, but I don't get that. You as we all know it takes alot to get banned from the whole site. And as in this case, the person was banned in stages from much of the site and normal things.. Then to be allowed back on...

Is LJ back on here??

And it is a person behind each and every account. I do admit that in some cases it is hard to prove wrong doing and the level as such is not worth the effort to track down someone (such as the various multi nicks on this site) .... But a site ban use to mean a site ban.
In the past, such as the cave incident.. the people had to be given Fencer's ok to come back.

This is why people are a little perplexed by the current matter being discussed.

About the more boards for fellowships..

"GERRY": These days there in no guarantee for anyone to be able to run a successful business. We've had sole traders that have been around for decades now having to shut up. Some quite honestly saying that there is no help for them, banks won't help them, and the government will not help them.

And their mistake.. being in a field that the market has contracted so much there is not the business to operate. Even the last market collapse re Thatchers' boom and bust economic policy didn't break them.

Then there was the need to introduce a charge of corporate manslaughter...

Otsikko: Re:
SL-Mark: To some respect you are correct, to some you are not. Abuse is a cycle, passed down from abuser to abused, which unfortunately leaves scars. If you are the 1 in 8.. well..... but for those who are not, especially as adults.. it does become the abused persons problem, as they now have to sort out the scars or live with them for the rest of their lives. There is no guilt on the abused.. although some feel like it.

Anyway, this is a complex... realistically individual matter to each abused person. So.. no more.

Fencer: Found it already on the paid membership details for rooks....

1.2.2) Brain Rook

A player with Brain Rook membership level can use up to 35 vacation days a year. After some vacation days are used, it is possible (twice a year) to get some extra days (during the same year) if the membership is renewed by another year (or longer period) - 10 after the first renewal and 5 after the second one.

rod03801: I know only Fencer (and possibly Liquid) can sort it. All we are asking that it is corrected as soon as it is possible.

As I said... it is affecting users of this site experience of this site. And with potential paying members, or with people thinking of renewing their membership... you want them to be happy with this site experience wise. So many sites out there now... and in this global climate, it is a good idea to sort out matters that can cause negative experiences to a minimum, especially in matters that can be sorted by 'the management'.

The potential loss of a few members who are abusing the vacation system is outweighed by the loss of new members or renewals significantly. The odds that is costing Fencer money I'd say (imho) is 100%. You also have to consider the word of mouth factor.

Snoopy: I can see, yet to others it's only come to light in the last 6 months or so... And Bwild is right, it is going to effect a potential paid members opinion of this site, if they get playing anyone abusing the vacation system. It has been seen that certain people have just left the site or discontinued playing here via reading abusers of the vacation system finished games.

Quite frankly I feel it is costing Fencer money.

rod03801: Ok, we've heard talk of changes taking place but have seen no action. There is a problem, Fencer and yourselves ( as Globals ) have been aware of the problem for some time now. So when is something going to happen to correct this loophole? I know that a precise date may not be available, but can we at least have a rough date of when the loophole is going to be fixed.

I saw, as well as you and others.. some good ideas put forward in regards to this matter. I think people seeing that and hearing some action was to take place that thought it would be sorted by now..... I think that is what is annoying people. As people are getting sick and tired of this loophole in the vacation system being used, in particular pawns, bishops and knights who have a limited number of games they can play.

As I said, can we have a rough date when this problem will be resolved?
