And as Dano suggested, it would be only fair in games like chess, tank battle etc, if you made identical moves where possible. There is no need to over-react to this situation. Fencer has explained how it happened and apologised, there is nothing more he can do. And nothing more we can do but get on with it and make the best of it. I'm just glad we are back online and I am able to play again. 12. It wasn't an intentional thing to set all the games back and if there was any way around it then Fencer would have done it by now. This is still a new site that is growing and it will encounter problems along the way. But you won't find a better, friendlier site with owners that care as much. No matter what inconvieniences there are, its worth it just to have this site at all. 12. I just notice that tournament that I already started are now BACK in the tournament list waiting for players - and new tournaments that I created are gone! Seems like they had to do a restore of the database or something and a lot of "older" data got put back! Hopefully Fencer will be on soon to explain some of this! 12. The site seems to be running really good when you are able to get on - I had a problem getting on the site last night to play games (and with a new job that started today) - So I'll only be able to play during certain hours during the week - and if the server is down during that time... UGH! (hopefully Fencer will reinstate my games - all 8 Battleboat games which droped my rating from 1st to ... well, not 1st anymore) :-) BBW (BIG BAD WOLF) 12. On webtv, we don't see the "site is temporarily down" page. Most of the time I get a webtv pop up saying "Brainking.com is to busy to use right now" But again, I too have noticed a definite improvement. Way to go, Fencer. 9. The application server restart is actually very fast - it takes only 5-10 seconds. But the overall site performance can be lower when the server is starting up. When it happens [the well-known "site is temporarily down" page], it usually helps to wait 10 seconds and reload the page. It works for me perfectly.

Many players do that. He likly didnt mean to be rude at all. I don't see the need to complete a game especially a long game like 10x10 reversi if I know I have no chance of winning. I resign, say WTG gg or what ever and end the game to get on with other games or start new ones. I never ever thought it was considered poor sportsmanship like conduct 9. I haven't been ablt to access this site since Tuesday afternoon australian time and it is now Friday evening :( I have ONE game waiting and when i click on it it gives me their (my opponents turn). I understand Fencer has been having problems as I emailed him direct and he so kindly explained it sort of. It is hard for someone like me when your times is limited to catch up on games....today I have now been playing 4 hours to get thru backed up games. I know it would be very difficult to reach that limit, and i doubt it anyone ever has, but the limit is still there. I think 100 is a little too extreme to limit. If you are going to lower the limit, make it something a little more reasonable like 400 or 500. 8. uil i for one have many games if i was limited i would sit here twiddling my thumbs most of the time , alot of my opponents move at differnt times of the day so i would end up with no one to play 8.
