Jim Dandy: I understand that. People don't always know why we do what we do as mods and what is acceptable.
The thing is, Fencer has asked that this board be specifically for Brainking and its features, so that people may keep up with the latest. In the past, it has been a problem when members have to sift thru dozens of posts of a general nature and/or about other things, it loses its importance. That's why he created the other boards, so that there would be a specific place where people could look for answers for specific things. All we re trying to do when we mod is follow the owner's wishes to keep the boards 'on topic".for the rest of the users. It is not meant as harrassment nor are we trying to exert any 'power".

If you click the link on the left column for Public Boards, it gives a complete list of all the boards. Thanks for understanding.

...kudos to Fencer for delegating a couple of good long time members to create more team tournaments! I think it's great that we are going to be having these more regularly and I commend his choices and thank both coan.net and Tanein for taking the added responsibility and time to make this site even more enjoyable for us members here!

After you change to text editor, it should give you a toolbar with different fonts and things just above the box. You don't have that?

I was following the conversation earlier and it seemed ok. People had questions, they got answers.

Then I made the mistake of going to have a bite to eat without logging off.
OH Whoops!

Bry noticed in my absence (altho it appeared I was online) that the conversation had taken a different course and stepped in.
I don't feel like he was stepping on my toes, I feel like he was watching out for the board.
I have no problem with that. It's what he's supposed to do.
I'm answering this because it is good to show the roles that board moderators and globals play here for new users and pawns to see, but the rest of us know all about this, so I would like this conversation to end now, please, and leave the board for more relevent Brainking.com posts.

What started as a conversation about what happened on the board has been addressed, and now it seems to be moving into a more 'chatty' manner... more appropriate for GC. Please take it there and keep this board as it is intended to be "about Brainking, it's structures, features and future"

conxhans: that does seems strange that they can still invite you to a tournament, but you can always decline, and go to the tournaments link and choose the ones you want.

All in all, it's a fun site, and I love to see new users come here and learn the site and play.
To me, it's the most 'user friendly' site I've ever seen and for the most part, the friendliess,most helpful people I've come across at a game site.
