We always pay. Pass regulations that costs businesses money and they raise the costs of their goods. Raise their taxes, they hire less people and raise the costs of their goods. Iamon lyme: I had an interesting conversation with a lady who was going on and on about France's medical care being free. She wants the same for here in the US.

I said, "But it's not free. Where did you get that idea?"

Then she went on to describe how they didn't have to pay for doctor's visits or hospital procedures etc.

I asked her if she knew what the tax rate was in France. She didn't.

I asked her if she knew where the money came from to pay the hospital staff and pay overhead etc.

She said it came from the government.

I asked her where the government got the money to pay the hospital etc.

She said through taxes.

I asked where the tax money came from and she said from the people.

Then I suggested that the people were in fact paying for their medical care and they were paying for the medical care of others too. Taxes are indirect payments for medical coverage but it's still a payment. When you "pay" for something, you can't say it's free. In fact, I said, nothing is really free. Somewhere someone is funding the "free" stuff.

ObamaCare isn't free. Many people think it is. They are delusional. The costs will be high and it won't just be $ that factors into the cost. Quality of care will diminish as it has in Canada and throughout Europe.

Iamon lyme: How stupid these liberals are. The don't blink at the dismembering of a baby for profit (by the millions) but cringe when a man or woman volunteers to fight and protect their country. The military have guns and can protect themselves. The unborn have the democrats who fight to keep it legal to kill them.

And remember, Obama is for partial birth abortion which is nothing less than infanticide. The baby is partially delivered then killed (brains sucked out after making a slit into the base of the baby's skull). Obama also voted against protecting new born babies that survived abortions. So in other words, Obama favors the deliberate killing of new born infants! When an abortion fails and the baby is born alive, the woman is NO LONGER PREGNANT! So her body is no longer affected by a pregnancy. The baby is fully separated from the "mother" and any decent person can see that. But Obama is just fine will killing innocent new born babies.

Iamon lyme: Well in their defense, they were for God and Jerusalem before they were against it before they were for it again (well sort of for it....they actually voted against the measure but the Chairman declared a 2/3's majority anyway (they even lie to their own party members).

They voted three times and then the moderator said he had a 2/3's majority. What a crock. Debbie Wasselman Schultz even denied there was dissension at the convention over the issue. CNN said she had to be living in a different reality to miss the obvious tension. Then Debbie cancelled all her other TV appointments. What a laugh.
