Scandanavia electro pop sensations Alice In Videoland return with their Brand New album "Outrageous" on the Swedish National label. Bringing together a unique mix of electro-clash and punk attitude "Outrageous" showcases the bands incredible talent and flair for fun, energetic pop songs - their unique combination of styles mixing electro, 80's rock, dance and pop with fantastic results.
The first release on ex-Kraftwerker Karl Bartos' own Audio Vision label - "The Camera" ( taken from 2003's critically acclaimed album "Communication" ) expounds on how modern media is turning word-centered culture into image-centered culture. Based on Bartos' classic electro beats and the distinctive baselines ( very reminiscent of KW classic "The Robots" ) the European melodies and the well-known synthetic voice unfold the authentic sounds from one of the originators of electronic music.

I used to work for 'New Musical Express' and also help out on a hospital radio station for years. I get sent stuff. That was what I was posting.
In a press release Kraftwerk's US labelpartner Astralwerks has announced 6 December 2005 as release date of the live-DVD "Minimum-Maximum" for the USA. EMI Germany didn't confirm this new release date of the DVD yet, but it will most probably be around the same time as well. The live DVD set comes in 2 formats, as a double DVD edition and as special box with double DVD, double CD and an 88-page book with photos of the tour. Also expected quite soon is "The Catalogue", bringing the remastered versions of their 8 main albums as CD and Vinyl editions. No dates have been confirmed yet.

Apart from their close connections with The Beatles, the Swansea group were perhaps most famous for writing 'Without You.'
This was to become a number one hit for Harry Nilsson in 1972 and Mariah Carey in 1990.
The band have had a tragic history with both main songwriters, Pete Ham and Tom Evans, hanging themselves amid turmoil in the group's finances.

Chesney Tapped for ASCAP Voice of Music Award
Kenny Chesney will join a select group of artists and song- writers when he's presented the ASCAP Voice of Music Award during the performing rights organization's 43rd annual country music awards gala in Nashville. The Voice of Music honor is given to those "whose music gives people's lives a voice through song. Garth Brooks, George Strait, Diane Warren and Amy Grant are the only songwriters to have ever received the award. "Kenny is the unique artist who has the ability to captivate millions with songs that are honest, heartfelt and entertaining," said ASCAP president and chairman of the board Marilyn Bergman. "He is a super- star, yes, but he is a songwriter first."
The ASCAP country
awards ceremony takes place Oct. 17 at the Ryman Auditorium.
I have become a big Country Music fan, also. Its amazing what you hear from the most unusual sources!
I figured that since I now live in Dallas, I should enjoy country anyway. I admit tho, I like the new stuff much better than the old 'Twang' sort of stuff.
Stratman71:Oh, he was an original, for sure. I always liked Hank Junior alot too, and Willy, and Johnny Cash..Roseanne Cash, Garth...the list goes on...and of course, Lyle Lovett...he's from 'round these here parts. His choir picture is still hanging on the wall at my daughter's school!
Guess I'm more of a country fan that I'm aware of!
red dragon: busted! I have to admit it's true, red dragon.
Well it didn't used to be my first choice, but I have to admit, I've heard some exceptionally good country music this year. I've been won over!
baddessi: Well Country is not my favorite either but I figure if there is even one country fan reading this, I might have told them something they didn't know. Two more shows they can watch, Fox and Friends Thursday morning and Jay Leno Oct. 11. I like mostly all music and I may give it a watch. My mom used to love the country music being from Nantahala, NC so I was really raised on the stuff. lol.
