New Spielberg Movie About Olympics Massacre
At the 1972 Olympics held in Munich, 11 Israeli athletes were killed by Arab terrorists, two were killed in the Olympic Village and the other nine were taken hostage and died during a shootout. Now Spielberg is making a film about the aftermath of these killings. The film will star Eric Bana and is expected to be released on December 23.

Anyone seen the new Charlie & the Chocolate Factory film? I loved Willy Wonkers Chocolate Factory film as a youngster & just wondered what this remake was like

Lamby: No problem at all. I use imdb.com to find out tons of info on movies, actors, what films actors are releasing soon etc. It's a great site.
For instance you're watching a movie and say 'Hey I've seen that actor in something before but can't think of what" So you go to IMDB.com, check out the movie u just saw, it lists the actors by character name, then you click onthe actor and see what movies they have done. It's a great kool!

Rose: That's exactly what I use IMDB for too!!! Almost every day...:)
Plus I love the goofs and trying to spot them while watching the movie...:)

BIG BAD WOLF: How do we prove we went to the films? DO we need the ticket?
I saw two of em in theatres but certainly cant prove it!


Anyone seen Alexander yet? Want to hear what others thought of it, just saw it last nite.

I believe you will just have to sign-up somewhere saying you seen it - I would think it would be very hard to make a person have "proof" like a ticket stub.

I did something similar before with a CD/music that I purchased - but in that case, you just had to send in the UPC to "prove" you are intitled to a rebate.

We will have to wait and see. Me & my wife also went to one of those movies - which is one of the reasons I wanted to post it here - so in a few weeks, it can remind me that I should go look to see if something has been set up to file a claim - and what is needed. (Since we also have long ago thrown away our ticket stubs.)

Rose: If it was in the Czach Republic, you'd definitely need a ticket. But in the US, anything is possible.

Alexander sucks. It's the worst movie I saw in the theatre this year.

Pedro Martínez: I think Oliver stone had a good idea with Alexander but what it felt like was they filmed 6 hours and cropped it down to 3. It was so haphazard and didn't flow well at all. I was disappointed myself. I was expecting a sweeping epic and it fell flat.

I just watched Hostage with Bruce Willis. Excellent film, definitely worth watching.

harley: Yea not so bad eh! I was surprised by it a little as well

Saw War of the Worlds, The Island and Fantastic Four this weekend. Really wowed by the first two!

I've seen War of the Worlds - not bad but not as good as I'd hoped.

harley: really? I was wowed by it. I didn't expect it to be that good. I guess after seeing some b rated flicks of the story this one was wayyy better. Its funny how everyone views things differently!

Maybe thats why, I expected it to be really good! The original was great, so I thought with a bigger budget and the first film to live up to it was going to be brilliant.

harley: I thought it was a very entertaining movie. My two complaints were:

1. It was too focused on Tom Cruise's character. It felt like the aliens were specifically out to get him. It would have been nice to have some scenes to show that the "invasion" was global.

2. It ended too quick with no climax. Going good, then they all got sick and died...in a matter of minutes.

but, still, it was very entertaining!

I agree Summertop, it would have been nice to see more of the alien and less of Tom Cruise!

harley: Darn cool aliens in the basement tho eh? WOW and Summertop is right, that qucik 3 minute explanation at the end was a lil lame. I figure its cuz as usual they go over their time on movies an hve to cut something out so they take out what they think is least important.

Summertop: I agree with 2, don't agree with 1. Actually, in this respect, it was a way better movie that the original one. I didn't have a feeling that the aliens were specifically after Cruise. There were mentioned alien attacks in Japan, and in other places around the globe. The thing is that the film was following Cruise's journey from NY to Boston. But this doesn't mean the aliens were there to kill specifically him. If so, the movie would have been over very soon.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - go see it! Its great! The new Mr Wonka is very cool!
