You can also make a regular tournament invite-only and invite anyone to those if you wanted.

Can I invite players to my fellowship tournaments even though they are not members of the fellowship? or do they have to members of the fellowship to play?

Fencer: The only reason I can see for it to be there is to frustrate people into resigning so you can falsely raise your own BKR.

Make it never ending, make a few moves and then stop altogether so the other person gets frustrated at having it in their list and resigns. You get a free BKR boost without having played a decent fair game!

Quote from the FAQ:

Although I had finished a game, my BKR did not change! Is that an error?

No, this is not an error. There are several situations which can be a reason of that:

* Both players did not perform at least two moves. It can happen when one player loses the game by a timeout at the very beginning.

I 'm very sure.

Edit:

Also, Paying members can delete games that have just 2 moves played.

BURDUFG: Since there is no move made, just resign. You'll lose the game, but no BKR points. You will lose BKR after the second move played, and then resign.

hi, a have a game of chess from my early days here, made by me with no expiration, and the user that accepted the invitation never made a move and disappeared. is there a way to cancel the game, without losing a lot of points?

I'm a mod in a couple of f/s and was just wondering if anyone knew why there were options for pawns? I didn't think pawns could join f/s anyway and as soon as a memebership runs out and they revert to a pawn they are unable to post? I thought they were only left as members of f/s for when they renew their paid membership?

Is the change icon working ?
I asked 2 days ago to have mine changed, but still the same smoking monkey
The one i want back is already stored on brainking, so i used the brainking URL, OR is that the problem ?
Only other thing i can do is right-click, save picture to my pc, then re-submit it as a file, which seems a total waste of time as brainking already has it.

Anyone know ?

Did I miss an announcement of game time suspended? One of my opponents is now more than 4 hours past his deadline of moving, and the game is still listed with a negative amount of time to the deadline, instead of him getting 24hours added, and a vacation day subtracted.

Is there a problem with time outs, i have a few games, that should have timed out 2 hours ago, or has this got somehting to do with the clock being wrong earlier.

SafariGal: Don't worry, not all registrations are from different users. There are definitely issues regarding accuracy on that point. The amount of active users advertised as contributing to this site is quite inaccurate. A lot of members are very similar to Varol53. They try it out and bail because they don't want to wait so long to find an opponent to make a move.

That is sort of anti climactic. Maybe the number can be put up as a prize of some kind and given to the winner (eek multi nick)

Oceans Apart: it does.  the only move that should have used autopass was your 11th move although you might not have noticed it since your opponent passed both his/her 11th and 12th moves.  The reason that autopass is not used is because theoretically you can still double even if you cannot move.  There was absolutely no reason for your opponent to do it in that game, but in some games, it can happen.
