You have done a great job on the conversion!!

I not sure everyone would consider them harmless, Viking. But even if this were so, it is still the wrong board for such things. People come here to post about BrainKing, and read about it. Not to read page after page of arguments between grown men. If they really have to argue, as Stevie says, there are more appropriate boards.

that is correct, Steve. But was this really the reason for cencorship this time?
This being a wrong board, I rest my case.

But this is the BK board, gen chat would be better for those "arguments" ;oÞ

Sujet: Harley,
what exactly is wrong about arguments? What harm can they possibly do? Especially when I am willing to bet that usually those involved in these HARMLESS arguments find them entertaining. And so do I.

And besides, even kids in kindergarden are allowed to have arguments. It is kinda absurd that they are not allowed between adults in an internet discussion board :).

Viking, if you're referring to editing from today on this board, it was not a harmless discussion. It was name calling which was growing into an argument.

...is really annoying. Moderators should just let these harmless discussions go on.

Gothic, when you post things to public boards, everyone becomes involved remember.... private messages, private matter. Public board, everyones becomes involved.

And thank you for explaining that it was a joke, I did not take it that way. Pats Gothic on the back and heads off. :-)

Well Mr. Loupe, there is this link:

Me versus the Deep Thought chess computer

Back in 1989 I beat the World Computer Chess Champion in a game that lasted only 20 moves.

Then there is this link:

Ed beats Chinook, World Champion Checker Computer

That was on October 21, 1996.

So, I guess I don't need you to investigate me.

:)

No, only Big Boss can remove teams.

2. Juillet 2004, 14:56:33
coan.net
Well I just created a Spider Line4 team in one of my fellowships, then joined another team in a different fellowship, and the original team stayed there. (But did not enter a team tournament.)

Question: Does a captain of a team have the option to remove a team from a fellowship? (All teams I'm captain of I'm also the BIG BOSS, so I'm not sure.)

2. Juillet 2004, 14:36:36
Jason
i had a team untill bry enterd the team tournament then it dissapeard sometime after .

one of the main reasons im asking for is im not sure what teams im in and want to make sure that i can fully support my fellowship in some of the teams once they are in full swing .

2. Juillet 2004, 14:34:02
Jason
hehe ,thats why i joined brys lol. no seriosly (sp) because im big boss and enterd another fellowships team im not too sure that i can have a team in my fellowship ? just waiting for fencer to clarify things for me .

2. Juillet 2004, 14:33:05
Fencer
Jason: It could be a negative effect of the database conversion. Very unlikely, though.

2. Juillet 2004, 14:30:44

I'm sure there are lots of backgammon players willing to join your team for the team tourney, Jason.

2. Juillet 2004, 14:27:12
Jason
well im not sure who was in my team ,but if its my fault i got them thrown off (because i joined another fellowships team)then i would like to say sorry to them . but i didnt know it would happen like that ;(

2. Juillet 2004, 14:23:55
MadMonkey
I did the same Jason. That was down to me though. I accidently clicked the box to Remove the team, but that was when we were still using BK 1.0, and i had a copy of the members on BK 2.0 lol :o)

2. Juillet 2004, 14:19:43
Jason
ok i asked yesterday about my backgammon team totally dissapearing in my fellowhip (not just the players but the section that holds them). no one else seems to have had this problem and no one possibly knew why . but could the reason be because i have joined another fellowships team and enterd the team tournament ? (which i presume would be to stop me playing against my own fellowships team and fixing games ) or am i wrong lol, that was the only reason i could come up with .
