I think thats more than enough about Kevin. He's playing within the rules, and is a lovely person too. Theres no need to single him out, he's not the only person to take his time at games, I have been myself lately because I've been busy.
I not sure everyone would consider them harmless, Viking. But even if this were so, it is still the wrong board for such things. People come here to post about BrainKing, and read about it. Not to read page after page of arguments between grown men. If they really have to argue, as Stevie says, there are more appropriate boards.
Viking, if you're referring to editing from today on this board, it was not a harmless discussion. It was name calling which was growing into an argument.
Another small bug? When you search the player list, whatever name you type in, it tells you there is '1 registered player' - even though there could be 3 pages showing of that name!
One other tiny bug - connected to the red numbers on the menu but a slight variation - when you delete a message without reading it, it still shows that you have a new message.
ROFL oh yeah! Slight problem, Fencer can take himself off hide!! Nope, it will have to be moving it to general chat! :oD
(Anyway, Fencers ears aren't pointed enough to be Vulcan! :oP)
Right now Summertop, managers can't do that much. They can request tournaments to be started (this is purely in HOME, other fellowships might work differently) and get people motivated to joining their team(s).
Eventually they will be able to remove people from their team if they wish, start their own internal tourneys and have a lot more control of tournaments with other fellowships etc. Thats my understanding anyway, although it won't happen immediately BK2 is launched. Thats in the future :O)
It should still be there, gooner! 'Server news', in a green box. If not, click on 'discussion boards' then 'server news' - that has all the old messages that appear on your main page :o)
There was a note on your main page about it, gooner. It was supposed to be down for 2 hours, but I guess there were unexpected problems. At least we're back now :o)
mrloupcity, the best thing to do is send a private message to the big bosses of these fellowships and ask them if they removed you. That way you would know for sure.
Have a look at the computer board, Brian. I don't follow all of it, but it doesn't seem to be a problem at BrainKing that caused webtv users to be unable to access the site.
IMupChucKingC, Its just one point in the user agreement that hasn't been fully explained. Wait for BK2 and I imagine it will be corrected along with a lot of other things.
I'm sure the user agreement was adequate when this site was first launched. However, things grow and change, and since BrainKing was first born there have been some quite drastic changes! I don't think even Fencer could have predicted the growth direction. He did say right at the start that genuine playing couples would be allowed, no problems. Its single people pretending to be a couple so they can have more than one account that the user agreement seems to be directed at.
Everything is subject to change, and I daresay Fencer has had more important things to do than examine old user agreements to make sure its up to date. Obviously now it needs amending.
I still don't know that rule properly. I've probably broken it a few dozen times at least without realising. I know theres more information about it at the backgammon board, this discussion should move over there really.
Steve, I don't know how many times a day I get accused of this! It is impossible to change the dice at backgammon, they are completely random and theres no way to alter that.
Crissie, I honestly don't know! I've never played with a doubling cube, and I did ask once at the backgammon board, and got an answer I understood at the time... but that was a long while ago and I've forgotten now! I'm sure if you ask again at the backgammon discussion board, someone would be good enough to explain it again :o)
I don't know where you're getting that information from Steve (actually I do but I won't name names) but its wrong. The only thing on BK2 right now is the ability to add more than one moderator per board. There are no admins except Fencer and Liquid.
