First off we have local Govt...we vote every 3 years for them....each town has their own local govt. then we have State Govt...we vote every 3-4 years fpr them....each state has their own Govt. and then on top of all that we have Federal Govt. we vote every 4 years for them.

Now you have local laws, state laws and federal laws. and then there are my laws (in my house anyway LOL)

it is a very confusing system over here....I somehow think UK has something similar, but that is only a guess.
