Discuss the development of our Android application.
Find it on Google Play here: BrainKing for Android Warning! The application is far from being finished, so please do not rate it yet. It is published for testing purposes at the moment.
Try it out and get 50 free Brains. :-) Find details here (bottom).
Currently supported games: Chess and "normal" variants (without start position editing, behemoths etc.), Checkers and variants (although white starts all games, it's just a visual issue), Backgammon and variants (except Fevga and I am not quite sure about Plakoto), Froglet and variants, Breakthrough, Lines of Action and variants, Line4 and variants, Halma, Knight Fight, Tablut, Five in Line, Ludo, Run around the Pond. Please note that opening an unsupported game will show a blank page (yes, I will improve it soon). If it happens, just click the back button to get the game list.

Fencer: me complain ??? never.......lol .................. I am an idea conveyor
Funny that I only just noticed when i was going to move 2 pieces 6 spots as i thought they would plug a gap between others, BUT they didnt only because i was looking at the point colours rather than counting
Bwild: Wildfire S should be supported. What exactly is "trouble loading"? Can you install it from Google Play? What happens when you start it? Do other apps of mine (BrainCalc, Digital Clock Widget, ...) for on your phone?
MadMonkey: thanks!!! i am curious to try, but quite limited in my time, so any head-start might encourage me to actually start and no longer postpone :)
It appears that the app is not working in this game. It is my turn and I rolled 3-4. My only legal moves require a one or a six, but I have a swap dice button, not a pass movebutton.
I'm about to move through the web interface so that the game does not time out.
furbster: agree! i would love all line games to come to android .. but i already love the ease of the backgammon and chess games on android brainking
some improvements could me made though : i would love to be able to get the history of moves (to see what i did before in case i forgot my plans :)) .. and i would love to see which pieces are captured
i love playing backgammon via de android app but not playing chess or froglet with it because i am missing some curcial information :
- chess : the pieces which are captured by you and your opponent - chess : history of moves (to try to remember my plan) - froglet : history of moves with scored points - froglet : current score
and in backgammon i am missing : - match score, which is very important when using the doubling cube
Fencer: while you're at it: When entering a move in a game make the go to... Behave as defined by the user's default settings if this is too heavy, at least don't propose unplayable games.
While playing loop chess, I moved a pawn to the eighth rank. The game did not then offer to let me pick what piece I wanted to promote it to. In fact, I was unable to finish the move.
