So, if you do not see their name on the tournament sign-up list, it is because they are refusing to play.
This tournament was created because some of the people here are rivals, and because some people accused others of avoiding playing them.
Well, here is your chance. If you do not elect to play in this tournament, kindly shut your mouth about not having a chance to play against your rivals.
There was a great deal of cleanup that was performed on the DB recently. Any comments that were personal attacks, or items not particular to the spirit of this DB were removed.
To answer some of the speculation that certain players are avoiding others in the Gothic Chess arena, I created an invitational tournament where ALL top 10 players can participate. All players who are undefeated have been invited as well.
So, if you want to fight it out, come to the tournament you were all invited to. Fighting will take place over the board, and not in the discussion board.
This pertains to the talk of being able to audit a list of participants in a tournament.
I want to offer a $3000 first prize tournament for the World Championship this year, and I want to play it online. But, I will require an entrance fee of $50 per participant.
I never thought of creating my own Fellowship then inviting only those who have paid, but that is a good idea if it would be too much trouble to implement otherwise.
Winner also gets a nice cup trophy (a great big one) and the title of World Champion of Gothic Chess.
