There is a lot of websites about checkers (draughts), e.g. Jim Loy's page is a good start. I like Bob Newell's page very much. Books in English (about checkers) are also no problem, but I personally don't know any book/website in English about the Czech variant, there are AFAIK only some about the "pool checkers" (see Amazon). It's a pain to get some books even in Czech... :-)

Where can I find some book about checkers and its variants,for example the czech checkers?

I think you would have to wait and see if you lose before they get second queen. If they get second queen before beating you. Then i would say its a draw. so should be within the next 15 moves yes

Yes, it is especially bad for pawns stuck in tournaments in these situations. A membership is rather in-expensive, though! :-D

as a rook, he has 30 vacation days per year. I don't know how many he has left at this point. Hopefully not many! lol.. i have a game or 2 with him too..

And there are a limit time or not in "auto-vacation"... If he don´t play anymore I can´t participated in no more tournaments. It´s not fair! In my opinion...

Yes... I looked and the score was: yesterday: 1960... today a resign game +19 points, a winner gain: + 20 points.... and my actual score = 1979!
well I´m a university teacher and I still count. For me 1960 + 20 + 19 = 1999 and not 1979...

looks to me like the 20 point win took you to 1960, then the 19 point win took you to 1979 :o)

We play with rocks and always that we have a queen, we jump and we moan equal to one rinoceronte!! this a good variant too. What you think Fencer?

Czech draughts is more 200 years old checkers variant. Rules is identicaly as english checkers with this diferent: King (in czech draughts Queen) has long movie, The move capturing the most pieces is not mandatory but in jumb has Queen priority before pieses and Captured pieces remain on the board until the move is completed and cannot jumb 2x cross one piece
