I am sure No 1 was brought up a long time ago, just cant think why it was never used, seems so obvious.

BIG BAD WOLF: I think if we had that active / non-active tag beside there name it would work. One they could set themselves if they just didnt want any more games to play for a while, but it would set it self to non-active if they have not been on Brainking for 30 days for example.
Then the Captain would always know.

gambler104: It doesnt bother me at all, but i do know quite a few it does annoy. Like i said, when you enter any game or tournament the rules of it are there for you to except, for both/all players.
No one should have to message anyone(maybe the Tournament organiser), though i know it happens. All i would say is that i do think some players should look at the tournaments they are in more, then they would know if they are the only ones left playing games in it.
Maybe if some people used the drop box and goto next Tournament game they may get through them quicker.

Sujet: Re: New Game: Limit on number of opponent's started games.
Jason: I agree, i have alot of games, but still make at least one move on each every day, unless i am not here long LOL

AND i also i agree with snowhugs, some people have too many games & wait till the last day virtually to make a move in a Tournament, so holding it up, BUT then again they are also using the rules laid down. They have a certain time to make a move before they timeout, so why not use it.

Its catch 22 then, some of us want to speed Tournaments up, some dont. Problem is, the ones that dont till always win, as the tournament wont carry on till there game(s) is finished.

Could the 'Change description:' & 'Change extra description:' (why do we need 2 ??) boxes be made bigger when editing a Fellowship or at least an option to do so. A lot of us try to get alot of information in there, including links etc.. and it does all tend to get a bit confusing. I know we can use notepad and then copy it in there which is what i do, but when you may be only changing a small thing it can be time consuming (though i do have alot of time lol).
I think it was mentioned before about changing the size of the box in our notepad as well, thats needed for the same reason.

Harassed: That would be a good idea, to know what was on his TODO list or things that have been requested and he is working on so they dont get request again. People seeing what he is working on (apart from his secret stuff lol) may even have ideas to help him.

Oh, how about a message we can put up when we are not at out computers like in Messenger. Like many people i leave my PC logged in from morning till night, but i am not always here. If we could put an Away, Doing Dinner, on the Phone etc...message up instead of Browsing main Page it may stop people sending messages asking you to move.

Could the Big Bosses please get a message when a Team Fellowship match finishes(and starts) please, as well as the Captain, just so we can the rest of the Fellowship up to date & post results.

Replace the ( ) with <> and you will get Hello

Between the 2 " signs is an RGB code you can look them up on the web made up of letters and numbers for every colour you can think of. Size is pretty obvious i think LOL

imsoaddicted: I thought you used his Greasemonkey Script. Any game you want can be added as a Priority (or taken off), then when you opponent has moved it goes to the top of your next game to play list. I set all pawns to it, and any red dot games i am in.

modifié par MadMonkey (19. Octobre 2006, 23:35:52)
BIG BAD WOLF: I like the idea. Lines of Action & Scrambled Eggs are both great games and could have many good variations.

I was thinking of a variation, that would place a certain ammount of random holes on the board. In other words squares where neither you or your opponent could go. Obviously your gameplay would have to change for every game then, as every board would be different.

pauloaguia: Yes, thats exactly what i mean. At the moment it looks like the game number corresponds to the number below it, where it doesnt. With the game numbers in the centre column and the Game score either side so they will still total up to the Match score at the top.

Sujet: Pawns
Fencer: Like lots of Rooks i have alot of games, i also try to play Pawns and new players. Would it be possible to have a option/tick box to move games against Pawns to the top of our Next to play list, they tend to get a bit lost in all the other games.
As a Pawn can only have 20 games max, it can get rather boring for them to wait for games against Knights, Rooks etc...to come back to them.
This can work for good, by trying to urge them to get a paid membership, or bad just totaly put them off all together. To me the more games they play or different types of games they can play or learn, the more chance there is of them buying a paid membership.

Would it be possible to have access to the Context menu items through a drop menu like the games in the top left corner, so we could access it from any page ?

I think this has been asked before, and maybe still on your list Fencer.
Please could we have the Note box in games show up at the top of the page IF a note has been made, or at least an option in Settings to move it there like the other options we have.
It comes in handy when you play alot of games and may lose track of your train of thought. Sometimes i get back to a game i end up making a totaly different move to the one i was thinking about

Save keep having to go back to delete the message once we have read/used it.

I requested a 'Move and goto next TEAM Tournament' option in the Drop list (dont shout i know its a good idea).
I was just wondering why the 'Move and goto next game of this Tournament' do what it says it should do??
It seems it does not count Team Tourny's as actual Tournaments, most odd...

Fencer: Just an idea (but a good one though lol) about signing up for more than one game in a particular tournament.

If a tournament has more than one game to sign up for (between 2 & 67 obviously) how aboout having tick boxes on the sign up page, rather than having to go into each one, sign up then go back to the list again and do the same over & over again.

It would be alot quicker & easier

Sujet: Re: Autopass for Brian
Walter Montego: I have to agree with Brian. Autopass is a great, much needed feature that BrainKing does not have. As he says it only has to be an option to be set at the start of a game like any other option OR it could just come onto the screen when a player can not move, then they can either choose to Autopass or not. No one is forced to use it, BUT there are many who i know for a fact would.
Maybe Fencer may have a change of heart in the New Year
Oh, and yes Brian does get a bit carried away LOL
