thechosen0ne: I like this idea. As a chess player I tend to set up a physical board to do analysis, but this is tricky for Grand Chess where I don't have a 10x10 board at home!
I would like to be able to find games between top players here (mostly in Chess variants), to replay them and maybe learn something from the moves made. At the moment, players' finished games give little indication of playing strength. Could a rank or rating column be added? Or is there another way to find what I'm looking for?
Mr. Shumway: I also agree it is a good idea. Additionally, when I click on the game, I would like to see the rating range and further details there too, such as Pawns/Knights etc allowed or not.
I am playing a multi-game match where my opponent has timed out for the second time, this time without making a move. See

I expect he will keep timing out games until the match is over.
So ... I think it would be a good idea for matches to be defaulted if an opponent times out twice in this way.
wierd: I agree too. I would not have to feel guilty about choosing my preferred colour for a game when creating a new game. Random colours in single games are more fair all round for ratings.
I note that "Improved tournament system" is a feature in development, but I don't know the plans.
How about establishing an official champion for each game type? The official tournament for a game type would start at the same time each year (but game type tournament starts would be staggered throughout the year). The winner would hold the title until the next year's tournament was won.
The aim of this is to have regular meaningful tournaments. Brainking is the best site of its kind, and winning a title here would be prestiguous. For example, why not try to attract some chess grandmasters to play here, including those that play correspondence chess? (Maybe there are some here already that play under pseuodonyms?)
The difficulty might be establishing time limits to ensure that a tournament with several entrants can be finished within a year! Maybe every two years would be better.
Anybody found this out yet? If I give my Dark Chess opponent the opportunity to take my pawn en passant, then will he (and should he) see it? And if so then for only one move? From the rules I guess that he will, but it is not spelled out so I suggest that it could be made clearer.
