 Chess variants (10x8)

Sam has closed his piano and gone to bed ... now we can talk about the real stuff of life ... love, liberty and games such as
Janus, Capablanca Random, Embassy Chess & the odd mention of other 10x8 variants is welcome too

For posting:
- invitations to games (you can also use the New Game menu or for particular games: Janus; Capablanca Random; or Embassy)
- information about upcoming tournaments
- disussion of games (please limit this to completed games or discussion on how a game has arrived at a certain position
... speculation on who has an advantage or the benefits of potential moves is not permitted while that particular game is in progress)
- links to interesting related sites (non-promotional)

Grim Reaper: Descriptions? plural? I cannot see a word ALL in front of the word DESCRIPTIONS in the contract. Some descriptions honor that, afaik at least once = some = descriptions

I bet this site added a lot to the popularity of your game, you make a lot of advertisements about your sites, programs, tournaments here. In your place I would give Fencer ultimate licence forever and send him at least $1000 (edited to be realistic) every year

Grim Reaper: Yes, I do. First they mention you as one who patented "Capablanca chess on 10x8 board under the name Gothic chess", then there is some info about world computer championships, then about some brainking tournaments, and live Philadelphia open. They also mention Grim Reaper is your current nick here, then there are some thoughts about online playing through internet etc. Then in the end there is some chess problem, mate in 2 for both sides, who is about to move, wins in 2 moves.

WhiteTower: I wonder what you mean... Isn't it very logical, that "fast" tournament with 1 or 2 days per move ends up faster than 7 days per move tournament, thus making life for pawns easier?
Thats what I mean, of course you have to wait until others finish their games or you can ask Fencer to free you in case you have all your games completed and no chance to advance further.

Ideal for pawns who don't like to spend years waiting for tournament to finish or for players who like to play fast.
