Stratman71: Don't think that will happen if the Astros keep playing like they have - bet we'll be playing you ..and I'll be the one singing
Oh yeah, this is the music board
Take me out to the ball game...
Tuesday: pretty sure it's true. I'm sure it could be googled if someone's curious.
I was talking in a game here and we've been trying to remember some of the strange names of groups in the 60s & 70s...what's the weirdest one you've heard? I said Uriah Heep, he countered with Humble Pie...who else can you think of?
Tuesday: take it with a grain of salt, it's my own selective memory at work here, but I'm pretty sure it's true.
I'd give you an apple, but they don't have those here, so here
Tuesday: Ray Davies...her hero- she went to England, I think , with meeting him in mind, had his baby..Crissy's first hit single was "Stop Your Sobbing", one of my all-time favorite Kinks songs.
Do I get an "A"????
"On the first part of the journey, I was looking at all the lights. There were plants and birds and rocks and things, there was sand and hills and rain..."
Nirvana: very good- I think it was off their very first Album as well...don't know the name of it other than Lynyrd Slynyrd..we always called it "Pronouced" one of my favorites, and a favorite of a friend of ours here. I thought she'd like my choice : )
Your turn Nirvana!!! : )
bwildman: thanks- you got some good Big-Mouthed Bass in that lake? Dan was kind of disappointed in the fishing on the Gulf- he likes to be a little more challenged.
Oh- this is a music board, and I believe it's my turn..
"Train roll on, on down the line...won't you please take me far away...."
Nirvana: Joni's always been one of my favorites. I got to see her when I was young at a small park with an outdoor ampetheatre(sp?)in suburban Chicago, Ravinia Park... she recorded 'Miles of Aisles' there : )
Nirvana: Thanks for that- how could we all have missed "He Ain't Heavy- He's My Brother?" That's got to be one of their all time big hits- at least over here!!
