computeropponen: Private invites are not done on a public forum. Feel free to send me a private invite so I can respond appropriately. Or alternately, you can go to the ``Tournaments`` section and join any tournament you would like. You can also find me signed up for tournaments there.

computeropponen: Try this site for a friend "
http://www.liveperson.com/experts/professional-counseling/coping-with-crisis-physical-conditions/loneliness/". Stop polluting this discussion board with your cries and whines of your experiences with Chinese Chess. If you want to play some good chess variants that don't have computer interference then try some of the chess variants outs there. Feel free to send me an invite to whatever variant you want to play where I am ranked 10 or higher. I will openly admit that I am good enough to know that I am not good at all, so I believe that this qualifies me as a garbage player as well.

computeropponen: It is that easy. I just went to the waiting room to see if you were there with a posted game for a challenge, but you don't have any games in the waiting room. You will find it very difficult to play games here if you don't post any. You can also sign up for 1 tournament of whatever game type you chose if you want to play more than 1 opponent.

computeropponen: If you want a game go to the waiting room and pick one up or post one. Or even better, send out a private invite to those that you think are your caliber.

As I recall there was some suspicion that the computer was "aided" by human intevention when it one the first game.

It doesn't stop at chess, it goes far beyond that when it comes to cheating in the on-line gaming community.

Hey if it makes one feel some sort of self-worth by cheating, it speaks to their character.

Maybe it's a smart strategy; everyone's concentrating on why Kramnik is on the toilet instead of analyzing the game.

When a draw offer is sent, a private message is also sent to his/her mailbox. If your opponent moves then the draw will not be accepted, if your opponent doesn't move, but doesn't respond then you better move or your game will time out.

Groucho: The person probably didn't like how slow his/her opponents were moving. Some people like to play quickly and not wait around.

Is anything safe to play out there?

Or if you want to stay closer to home, try Berolina or cylinder chess. To my knowledge there is no computer programs for those games either.

Play them at the variants that do not support computer assistance and you will quickly find out if they are skilled or if they are dependant on their computer.
