TigerCat: try a system restore to an earlier date/time when all was well, and Ctrl/Alt/Delete is a soft reboot anyway, but you could try it.

Andersp: thats a bit expensive in my opinion (after conversion)....they are coming down and down and down all the time.........2G at the moment over here is about $25AUS - $22 US, I would have thought you could get 4G for about $35.....

Last year I bought an external HD 80G and it cost $70 AUS which would be about $65 US.........

nightmagic: what bothers me is the fact Fencer is thinking of giving members who use FF another advantage over those that dont....I hope he says on the main BK page that this may happen because there is no way I would pay a membership and be dictated to as to what browser I can use.
I know he is just thinking about this but it dont seem to be fair to those that DONT WANT to use firefox....I have ADSL2+ which is a hell of a lot faster than normal broadband so I dont need crappy old firefox. Ive had it before and was not happy

Update, Jan. 16, 2007
Lawyers from our primary ISP decided to pull our plug without any advance notice, as of 14:45 PST. No doubt related to our lawsuit brought by the MPAA, but we don't have more information at this time until people responsible comes to work tomorrow. We will be back in operation once we sort out this mess with our current ISP, or we get new hardware ready at our new ISP.
Sit back and enjoy the rest of the internet in the mean time, while it last. For your torrent searching needs, try Google for now by searching for "SEARCH TERMS ext:torrent".

You can also come hang around our IRC channel (SSL on port +7000). We'll update on this page and on IRC when we have more information.

If you wish to help us out financially, you can donate via Paypal from the button below. Due to prior dis-taste from certain individuals misusing legal funds for their own purposes however, this is not a legal defense fund. Your donations will be used for the operational costs of our servers and development of our websites. You have our sincere thanks

I decided to download the player becuase it would have been easier to get rid off if it didn't work, but it is just great, so I am happy.

Nightstorm: but at 3MB per pic that would be a nuisance...better off learning how to reduce the size of your pics....Anastasia are you using a digital cameras, because if you are there should be a way of reducing your pics sizes...even on a scanner I think you can do that when you are scanning pics, but havent used mine for a while :(

***edit***
and Im only on dial up so there would be NO WAY that I would be sitting there waiting for 3 MB pics to down load...and you would find a lot of people like that.

Here is an article that was in our paper yesterday...
A report by the world bank has Australia way behind other developed nations in terms of broadband internet speeds.
Official figures cited in the report showed that per head of population, Australia's broadband internet speed was just over one megabits per second (mbps). The figure was significantly down compared with Britain 13mbps..France 8.4 mbps...Germany 6.85 mbps...Canada 6.8 mbps, and the united states 3.3 mbps, but was similar to Japan.
