Andre Faria: lol .. i hope he meant to take care of them in a sportive way .. to pay attention to them and block them as is allowed in soccer :)

but maybe i am too optimistic and do sometimes believe human nature can be ok and doesnt have to be bad by intention .. although it might become in emotions.. which i still dont like, especially not when its with professional players

Andre Faria: was the second foul of boulahrouz the one after which you could see the print of his shoe in his leg ? or was that the first ?

i think the one which showed the print afterwards was the worst .. it made him limp for real and leave the field (he might limp if it might profit, but he wont leave the field to get an advantage :))

Sujet: Re:
Andre Faria: boulahrouz was bad .. very bad .. i wonder why he did it .. no reason can be enough for such an action

he should have been sent of for sure

the second foul on ronaldo wasnt as bad ... it was a foul you see in most matches and a free kick would be given for it .. not even a yellow card

i am ashamed mostly because of the 'revenge' actions of all players that were involved in such actions .. revenge is ok .. but do it in the sport itself .. not on the man .. be grown up .. and professional enough to use the game to take revenge ..

it wasnt a professional match .. it was a match which you could see at the lower classes of amateur soccer

Czuch Chuckers: the referrees are given new orders .. they are applying the rules quite strict now and whistle quite fast

players did know this already, and are acting to take it to their advantage

ruined the wc .. the rules should not be this strict .. and players should try to play soccer

the same happened to the game of squash (racket ball) .. not too long ago a lot of top players called a lot of 'let' balls which would stop the game (rally) and start it anew .. they called in the hope they would get a 'stroke' (point for them, or giving them the first serve) .. since a couple of years there are actions to stop this behaviour and make people 'play squash, not let' (thats the call they use :))

maybe it should now be 'play soccer, not drama' :)

changed 'comedy' into 'drama'

Gabriel Almeida: there were more bad calls or cards not given .. for example the kick to the shoulder of (i think) robben after someone else was tackled .. that should have been a yellow card (or maybe even red for a kick that high), and a penalty kick (it was in front of the goal, although the referre had already whistled for the other foul)

by then i was annoyed by the whole acting of all players (ok not all, but most :))

Pedro Martínez: :) figo is a good player .. but not much better than some dutch players

deco is the really dangerous guy on the portugese side though .. i hold my breath each time he is on the ball (and if he is playing against a team i favor ;))

Sujet: Re: POR - NED
i was deeply ashamed :(

the first yellow card (i think it was the first?) for the attack on c. ronaldo was very bad .. should have been red .. and totally not needed (if a foul this bad can ever bee needed :()

but i was most ashamed of the behaviour of the players after a card was given (again) .. they tumbled over another to start a fight and to earn a new card (this happened on both sides) ... there was so much need for 'revenge' .. it was no fun.
especially the dutch players should have known better .. they were behind in score .. and (for some time) with 1 more player .. so they should have used all the time they had and not throw away fighting like little children.
they lost more than 15 minutes fighting and only got 6 minutes extra .. thats a real loss
but the worst part of it was that it ruined the game .. there were only short moments of soccer .. but thats hard to remember after so many 'situations'

the referees (sp?) have been given orders to be more strict .. the players are trying to take advantage of it .. thats a bad path to go :( .. referees are using their power a lot .. players notice this and try to use it in their advantage ... making the referees take more actions .. etc.

in the old days (and i am not even that old) players were tackled .. but tried to stay on foot and battle for the ball (not for the ground, or worst damage to do to your opponent) .. they would run on ... keep the ball with them .. and try to play the game

on another board i read players nowadays are more like cows .. they see grass .. the dive for it .. and stay down (to eat?) .. or like dogs being given a commando to play dead .. they feel something .. they think it might work .. and they drop dead (and so does the match, dead at once)

soccer isnt about skills with the ball or team play anymore .. its about acting

portugal has more individual class and skills .. the netherlands players are more team players

sometimes the game was exciting .. portugal defended very well .. the netherlands failed to score .. portugal did .. and won :)

my prediction is that portugal will win against england, and then lose against brasil (or maybe spain) .. then the final which either brasil or argentina or spain will win

my dream final will be australia portugal though ;)

az was nicely at #2 ... but the last couple of games didnt go that well .. they could have been #1 at the winter stop again .. but i guess they wont

ah well .. maybe it will motivate them more in the second half :)

i dont like adriaanse for his attitude to supporters and press .. in my oppinion he thinks too much of himself .. he is a good coach .. but there are better ones (i think) or at least coaches of equal skill but with better attitudes :)

he is great when his team wins .. he is not that great when his team loses :)

(i think the team of koeman won that game ?)

he did a great deal to az though .. i cant deny that :) and am thankful to him for that :)

ah well .. in the end it doesnt matter .. just some more doubts if the dutch team can make it to the finals at all :)

yesterday i read in the newspaper that ronald koeman is a trainer in portugal as well as co adriaanse .. they had to play yesterday evening against eachother ? was the match worthy watching ? who won ? (please : koeman ?? i dont like co adriaanse that much :))

question : i expected this to be a 2 game match as well .. out as well as at home .. why isnt this done for the finals as well as it was for the matches before it ?

sporting can be dangerous ... my uncle (lived in new zealand) played football (or soccer, i dont remember, its 15 yars ago) ... he scored ... screamed with joy .. fell down on the field .. and didnt move again ... people thought he made a joke (including his wife) .. as he often did ... but after some time it seemed it was for real .. a heart attack as well .. after that all his brothers had to go to the hospital for heart exams

it makes a sad match even more sad ;)

good luck in the finals!! ;)

(the funny thing is psv also lost its match in the final minutes ... but not in the final seconds of the prolonging even! ;))

my gf and i gave her dad a ticket for the game ... he always talked about going there to watch them in real life once ... so we gave it to him .. perfect match!!!! everyone was already cheering ... but he told his son (who joined him) with the last corner ... this will go wrong! ... and he was proved right :) .. he had a great time nonetheless :)

Andre Faria: *nod* douala was a very agile player already .. i can imagine him to be more dangerous when az has to attack for real ... but attacking is what makes az special in the dutch .. so i still have a little hope ;) .. i didnt like the player who fell down all the time though .. i dont think thats what football is about although some players often think it is ... i also dont like defenders who bring down their opponent when they see no other way out and who just think about about it as 'a yellow card, i can still play so its worth it' :)

Pedro Martínez: thanks i found that one as well .. but i could also find many places where people spoke about sporting lissabon .. which were all foreign sites though :) ... so i guess my gf was right (once again ;)) .. she knows so much more about football than i do :)

Andre Faria: i hope so ... sporting was very dangerous .. it was a miracle they didnt score sooner .. az defended well .. but didnt come close to sportings goal often

it was funny to see the goal from az .. the camera was viewing another part of the field .. some player in close up in think .. and then all of a sudden it switched to the goal where was score immediately .. obviously the director (is that the word?) didnt expect it to happen :)

sportings last goal was a great one!

btw is it 'sporting lisabon' or 'sporting portugal' ?
