It seems like in sports in general, that any team or individual on a great win streak, the expectation is when are they gonna finally lose..... and often it seems like it usually happens against a weaker opponent?
Its easier to grind it out against what appears to be a more formidable opponent, and to maybe have a let down against a weaker one.
I dont follow soccer much, but from the highlights I saw on this game, it looked like it was clear mistakes made by Spain, compared to great plays by the US that caused the two goals scored. I did not see much about chances on the other end, if Spain got unlucky any times there, but most times this game should have been at least nil nil?
awesome: Its okay, I am over it... I just thought it would be fun for people to make a few guesses for awhile, but in todays internet, nobody does any guesses anymore anyway
awesome: Thanks for the link... I knew somebody would just have to look it up and ruin the fun of guessing
I could have just come on and told the answer myself, if that was how it was meant to go
Anywho... from what I heard on the radio, Man U was worth 1.8 billion USD and the Yankees 1.5 billion.... but anyways, the correct one is in fact Man U!
srnity: No wonder you never knew how good the Pats are, not watching the afc, shame on you, now you get to see the Pats spank your J. E. T. S. , jets jets jets, and Farve 2 times every year!!!
rednaz23: Club seating is general some of the best available as far a comfort and amenities, but it really varies on the view location, but my guess is that you would not be complaining one bit!
rednaz23: I have to agree with you... I have been saying that green bay is over rated all year, and the games you highlighted are very good examples, there are so many games that they won, where I ended up shaking my head wondering how it happened!
Walter Montego: Maybe their broadcast contracts with direct TV etc prohibit over the free airwaves broadcasts?
One other note, this NFL channel isnt just about showing Thursday night games... they replay highlighted games and do analysis etc, 24 hours per day, I watch it very often throughout the week
rednaz23: I have thought that the Packers have been over rated and won some games while playing poorly, and I would be surprised to see them in this game near the end, although they have looked much better the past two weeks to me, and i think they have bought into their record, so just maybe they have a chance?
Whats the big beef anyway? Just because you went on and on about not getting the game etc... now you dont want to admit that you already get this channel???
Im just curious if it is the same nation wide or not?
awesome: well, believe me, it was not that long ago that the Pats sucked and your niners were the elite team in the NFL, but I never once wished i was a niners fan or complained that I had to watch their games
awesome: Yes, I am aware of the wild card, thank you very much
It was meant to be somewhat of a joking post, hence the , I was just making fun of the way the game was being hyped, like nobody knows that both teams really suck, and people are going to tune into the game because there are "playoff implications", just laughing at the way the TV people will say anything they can think up just to make a game they are covering seem more important than it really is
Sujet: Re: Is anyone watching the Turkey Day Football?
Jim Dandy: Yes, NFL TV that is the channel everyone gets, i think, and that is the channel used to broadcast the Thursday night games, IE the Cowboys vs Packers this week
Sujet: Re: Is anyone watching the Turkey Day Football?
Walter Montego: Yeah, all of the games that are on the NFL channel are on that one, you will like it for other reasons as well, because they do replays of some of the better games, and they do them in an hour (i think), not to mention the 24 hour NFL coverage!
Sujet: Re: Is anyone watching the Turkey Day Football?
Walter Montego: Try channel 212, thats what it is here anyways, and its not part of the "football package". I just pay for the basic plan and I have it here, unblocked
rednaz23: I have to agree that Rothlisburger is doing better right now than all the rest after the big two...
But how can you not pick Farve, really?
Mcnair sucks, Eli isnt there yet....
I have said all year long that Green bay is not very good, considering their record, although they looked a lot better yesterday, I think they are gaining confidence, and the Defense is legit, but you put them in the Super Bowl against the Pats, and they get killed!
I still think the Boys will take the NFC against the Pats!
Walter Montego: It was a very tense game, and it was a good thing for the Pats to play in one like that, just to help their intensity level, I was even ready to admit defeat at one point!
The bookies had it right on, so actually anyone who bet the colts and the 4.5 points got a win.
As much as I would love for the Pats to go undefeated, there could be some positive things if they were to lose one, but not against the Colts, its just not going to happen.
The thing I am worried about most right now, is that some 'experts" keep saying that some teams and players are going to start going after our players, to hurt them on purpose!
That makes it even better... I think people will be surprised just how much better the Pats are than anyone else, especially after they whip up on Indy
