Sounds like you have spider mites.
They are tiny and difficult to see but the webs are a dead giveaway.

Insecticidal soap is sold at any nursery or garden store and is not harmful to the enviornment.

You must spray several times per the instructions on the label to be effective and kill the adults and the larvae.

in the forest near me...in a pile of leaves..is a slime mold..I have heard of them..I know they creep/move slowly...this one I pass every 3 days..can actually see it has moved...has anyone else ever seen one?

How's everyones garden doing? Ours is coming along ok but were still about a week behind.I got grapes on my vines and had to spray them,the beetles were chewing away at the leaves.

ajtgirl: every year since I was 8 I have had a herb garden...learned from mr.cannon..who ran the pioneer herb garden at pioneer village in toronto.amateur botanist since before the south fell.I do find the unusual members of the botanic world interesting to learn about..not that I suggest we grow them...just trying to expand your green horizons a little.

ginger ice cream = yum. i discovered it at a great local sushi place. Japanese phenomenon, evidently. and most yum.

Mousetrap: I have a real bad slug problem too. Home Depot has a slug bait that isnt harmful to the environment you might wnat to try. Little pellets that they eat and it kills them ( I think it expands too much once in them) Anywho, I have/had about 200 sunflowers in my back garden and only half way survive. Must be slugs favourite food
