MadMonkey: I think the best solution is to have a "Don't want to vote" vote option default in every poll that anyone can pick. (this will allow you to "vote" and get it off your main page)
Fencer: I think you need to have 3 tabs in the Polls page. (1) Polls needing your vote (2) Polls you have voted in (but still open). (3) Closed polls
ScarletRose: Go over to the Opinion Polls discussion board and post your ideas for a poll you would like to see. http://brainking.com/en/Board?bc=153
I know things are still being worked on, but a couple of quick ideas & thoughts from me.
1. I love how it shows if there is a vote that you have not voted for in a fellowship - but there are some polls in which I may not want to answer (or in the current case, in a language that I can't read so voting would be just picking an option blindly) - would be nice to somehow click a "don't want to vote" button or something in which it will then turn off the notification that I have a poll I have not voted in - but does not force me to blindly vote just to remove it.
2. Maybe in the Polls page, maybe a separate tab to look at ALL the fellowship polls that you voted on so you can see the results after the polls are closed.

Fencer: Maybe it could be broken up like other pages of the same sort. A section for Polls needing your vote, and a section for polls that you voted in? That way it is easy to go back to the page and click on the poll and look at the results.
Or maybe 3 sections. Open polls needing your vote, Open polls you voted in, and Closed Polls.
Fencer: Yes! I see that, but how do we know when there is a new poll from BK or F/S, I just found a poll in there from a f/s that I did not know about....
WellyWales: It might be better to put this information to the Main Page only (similar to new photo comment notifications), in order not to overload the database by calculating the number at every BrainKing page.
Bernice: Pretty quickly - since all the Global's can do the approving also, there is not as much wait time anymore.... unless for those rare times where there is not one online.
Number 6 is always useful in Polls. I have had a little play to see how the system works and seems fine
Only things i may add to the list are: 7. Could the Poll be left open, so new members of a Fellowship can vote. I can take the results of my Poll of BrainKing games for our next PRIZE Tournament at any time then, and then leave it open to see how new members effect it (guess i could set it for its maximum). Maybe a Close button to 'Close the Poll NOW' 8. An addition to umber (4) on your list. When choosing more than one option, can it be possible to set a maximum number of selections if we wish please (i.e. the favourite 5 games here)
Think that's all i have. Thanks Fencer for introducing it, it will be a very useful tool
rednaz23: 1) I think there is, it's the fellowship links. It points to the Links subpage of the fellowship. 2) Really? That's a typo in the code. Can be easily fixed. 3) Yes. 4) Well, actually you define a deadline based on BK time but then it is displayed in your time zone. I think it's better because sometimes the time zone calculation is not correct due to different DST rules around the world. 5) Sure. 6) Yes, that can be added.
BadBoy7: Well; most of the time that should not be a problem. I think allowing the big boss and little boss the opportunity to delete those things would not be out of line if some people were to do that... for the most part the open field would allow for better polling answers, as the majority of the time someone does not want to answer to a specific choice; but would rather explain what they mean. The open field would allow for that.
rednaz23: in reply to #6 What about an 'other option' where poll takers can supply their own answer........ I Think The Object is too have the BB or LB of the poll To Supply the answer you may choose from.... if there was a other option to supply your own answer.i think that would be a way for some to put smart A answers
I love the polls feature; I think it is a great addition that will be used by the big bosses a lot!
However, there are a few things that are missing.
1. There is no link to get back to the polls page. 2. The description does not show up with the name of the poll where you can make your choice of answers. 3. Can a bar graph be added based on the numbers? 4. deadline is based on BK time; can it be based on the users time? (same for tournies in general) 5. Can smileys be enabled? 6. What about an 'other option' where poll takers can supply their own answer?
That's all I have for now. Hope this helps! I am looking forward to writing polls so I can improve my fellowship. I am sure many other BBs feel the same!
O čem je toďten plk: drawing/deleting a 3 wins match
is there any way do draw a 3 wins match? or any other way except resigning to end a 3 wins match if you realize you don't wanna play this game? we're trying to get rid of this game Checkers (saeco vs. Fraudkiller)
Not a Feature Request (as Monkey has a hangover and can not think today lol), just a thought. Is there any way to connect brainking.info to brainking.com, as in when you Subscribe to an entry, would it be possible to have a message sent to our Message box here ?
MissDelish: If you click on the link that rod gave you you will see a link towards the top that says "Add to favorite boards", if you click on that the board will appear on your main page

Bernice: IE ........................ seems odd as it has i have never seen it with Firefox. I should report it to them and Mozilla can fix it (where as Microsoft would ignore you lol) if it is a problem
