O čem je toďten plk: Re: Can not to nothing
Hexis: After d4xd6xd8 it is possible by rules to jump to f8 as a pawn and it then it becames to a queen. So through g8 it is impossible. However, I tried it too.

takjas: We found the reason of this bug! Exactly the same happened in the test game Dameo (Jaak vs. takjas)
Here black get a queen in E1 and cannot capture neither to C1 nor to G1, also cannot finish the move with a queen in E1. As a donkey dying of hunger between two haystacks!
Remember that it was correct with one "haystack": Dameo (Jaak vs. takjas)
Fencer , if you have time to solve this systematic bug then also Dameo (Jaak vs. takjas) is very good for testing while we have thinking time.
It's strange that the posts Checkers variants (8x8) (takjas, 2018-09-26 09:22:46) and Checkers variants (8x8) (Hexis, 2018-10-22 20:10:27) are not in this thread.

O čem je toďten plk: Re: Can not to nothing
takjas: The bug repeated in the position Dameo (Jaak vs. takjas) . If I click my pawn d4, it jumps to d8 and becomes a queen. I cannot continue jumping neither to b8 nor to f8. I see red text "Finish the move by clicking on one of submit buttons. You can write a message for your opponent." but if I click the button "Move", I get the GameList and the move is NOT done.
We saw that in other test games it was all correct but what can be the reason here?
Maybe two ways after d8 - b8 and f8.
Maybe there is conflict rules: white have a queen but cannot finish the move as a queen neither d8xb8xb3 nor d8xg8xg6xg3 - they are incorrect moves.

rabbitoid: We played some test games.
In the final position Dameo (Jaak vs. takjas) there is black queen in G1. Perfect!
Dameo (Jaak vs. takjas) there is black queen in E1 and pawn G2 didn't made the move wrong. Excellent!
So I see that Dameo rules are right in BrainKing. However possible that in Dameo (takjas vs. Good Luck :)FLR) the pawn B4 made this bug. White get queen but cannot finish the move as a queen. We try more test games too.

takjas: Yes, all is understanding.
We played a test game. In the position Dameo (Jaak vs. takjas) followed
5. d4xd6xb6xb8xd8xd6 c5xc3xc1xe1xg1xg3
There are white pawn in d6 and black pawn in f3. It is correct here. By the same rule in Dameo (takjas vs. Good Luck :)FLR) it must get white queen in b8 or f8.

O čem je toďten plk: Re:
rabbitoid: Thanks for your responce!
I read the rules carefully but I see a contradiction.
In Dameo a pawn can reach the last row while jumping only vertically - then the next jump backwards is the same way and a piece is jumped twice - it is impossible.
May be in BrainKing Dameo games after jump to the last row it cannot continue jumping horizontally, but then this "However..." is nonsence.
Then in this position the promoted Queen must stop in d8. We cannot change it and it is very difficult to Fencer too.
Inventor of the game Christian Freeling wrote else:
"If a man ends its move on the opponent's back row, it is promoted to king. A man passing the back row in a capture, but not ending on it, does not promote."
http://mindsports.nl/index.php/arena/dameo/65-rules
I understand that in ArenA it can continue jumping horizontally.

takjas: I understand it is mandatory to capture 21. d4xd6xd8xb8 or d4xd6xd8xf8. Do you say it is not possible?

O čem je toďten plk: Systematic bug in Russian Checkers
Přetvořeny oževatelem Jaak (27. března 2010, 23:17:08)
We have good rules here - simple and short. But in this case, unfortunately, they can be misinterpreted.
I have found a systematic bug in Russian Checkers (bugs 1582, 1898, 2001 and 2014).
In our rules there is written: "Unlike International Checkers, it is not mandatory to make the longest possible jump."
It is right, but there is not written an important nuance.
In GoldToken Russian Checkers rules we can read, how King (or Queen) must jump:
"If there is more than one unoccupied square beyond the jumped piece, the king must land on a square from which it is possible to continue jumping, if such a square exists in the chosen direction."
The same it is in Ludoteka Russian Checkers rules , in rules of gambler.ru - the greatest Russian gamesite - and in all Checkers textbooks, published in Russia and previous USSR.
In the situation Russian Checkers (Priidik vs. Edem das Seine) it was necessary to capture 37. ... g1xd4xf6 (or g7) but our program allowed to capture g1xa7.
Then I wrote in BrainKing.ru http://brainking.com/en/Board?bc=110&plla=1041732 , but after that Edem das Seine made 2nd illegale capture 38. ... a7xg1, it was necessary 38. ... a7xd4xf6 (or g7).
Many people believe here that if the BrainKing program allows such capture then it is correct.
What do you think? Is it necessary to follow official Russian Checkers rules or not?
