To find out what stairs you can currently challenge someone in, first go to the Main Stairs Page, then click on "Show your stairs only" link. The ones in BOLD are ones you can make a challenge in. .

One solution would be to put a red number in parentheses beside Stairs on the main menu, when there are stairs on your list available. Clicking the red number could take you directly to your personal list of stairs. The red number could disappear if it becomes unavailable.
Czuch Chuckers: Lol. This is rather the wrong place to be asking that. But as it's here, my vote is to keep it. I love that splash of colour, it's great!
wellywales: you can play 1 game in which you challenged your opponent, and you can play a second game in which your opponent has to challenge you .. this makes a maximum of 2 games at the same time in the same stairs
Fencer: Lol. I haven't come across the opportunity yet but I'll give it a go. I noticed Alanback and Pedro were sole occupants on a Step but they've only got one game going which led me to the question. I'll see what Pedro says.
6) You cannot play the same person if you are already playing a game with him/her in the same Stairs or if you finished a game with him/her in the same Stairs within recent 14 days.
You'll see that the Fischer's Stairs have risen more quickly. That's an indication of the turnover rate and that is partly the result of having only one game. And that helps the Stairs live up to its name of "Very fast".
At least that's what I assumed when Fencer first created these Very Fast Fischer Stairs. It's nice to see it working out, at least in Backgammon.
J5o: Because many players complained that 1-game matches are too slow. Fischer Stairs are for very fast players who want to see the results as soon as possible.
Fencer: I find that the fischers stair games I play, where the time goes up 3 hours every move, I actually can play those games slower than normal games I play!
Fencer: That wasnt the point.... its more like they (fischers games) should be the faster games, but because of the extra time added after a move, they tend to get longer limits than most of my other games.
To speed up the games in fisher, how about Auto Resignation, that has recently been introduced to Daily Gammon,
I never know when to resign and it could be an option
are the names of stairs in which it's my turn to challenge somebody supposed to still be turning bold to let me know it's my turn to challenge somebody? because mine haven't been. i have to look through all my stairs every so often to see if i need to challenge anyone. it's really tedious...
i thought that turning-bold feature was brilliant, but it seems to be gone now.
