I am not sure, and I am not good enough to be in that bracket but some top rated guys & gals have stated that against lower ranked players ( and some all the time ), they prefer to go second!

Games like 5 in a line, Reversi, 4iar(?) & chess can all be shown to have a bias toward the person going first (although some really good 4iar players prefer going 2nd) at the end of the day, the better player should win, but with a match between two even players, it could make a difference. |
