We have received word from Fencer that other's poetry can be posted to this board. These are the two conditions:
1) When someone posts a known copyrighted poem, he must add the author's name as well
2) If the author is not known, the poem can be posted without problems

Title- My Pete

I met my true love in the one place that I never thought possible, online.

Many told me that I was foolish, that it was asinine.

A year has passed and feelings have grown, I now have a place where I feel at home.

In Pete's arms, the world seems to disappear. Oh how I love when he holds me near.

There is nowhere else that I'd rather be, than with my sweet Pete right next to me.

I love you Pete!! :)~

Life Lessons Learned

As I was driving in the car this morning I thought of all the things that had occurred in my short 31 yrs on this earth.

I pondered each and every aspect of my days on this earth..

I needed meaning and understanding for all that had occurred..

Parents divorced when I was a child...I always wanted more...everlasting love and peace that comes from finding that special one..

At age 16 I married my high school sweetheart.....14 yrs into it we fell apart..wished I had known it would be like that from the start....He promised we would never part..

Then low and behold I met a man, who gave me the love that only he can...

I realized today that everything that has occurred in my life has made me who and what I am..Prepared me for his greater plans..

Who am I to question him? The one who gave me life again? I realize now that the greatest gift he gave me was the unanswered prayers...To lead me on this path of crooked stairs...

And if I die today, I will know that I was all a part of his master plan!! And that I truly love this man!
