Happy birthday to a couple of my favorites. She has not really enjoyed an easy time in this country, but I'm quite fond of Alanis. My favorite song of hers is You Learn. It's old, but I never get tired of it. I didn't like any of the videos on YouTube, though. But, I got to hear her sing it 3 times. You picked a good one, though, Nirvana.
Thank you, Jim the Dandiest. I needed that to defuse me. I'm voting for John Lennon. Of course, pictures of the Beatles as they progressed through MY years were nice, but his voice, and his passion really showed up in that clip. Have a GREAT Saturday.

Eriisa: A street in Toronto.. I've sung that song to hubby many times and I think he always thought I was making it up! It's early 80s I would imagine as they don't even uses buses anymore but rather street cars on Spadina Ave.
Rose: I've never been to Toronto, but I loved that!!! Too cool...loved those saxes and now I'm gonna have that stuck in my head, and no one in Texas is gonna know what a "Spadina Bus" is..I'd never heard that! Thanks

Good stuff!! Thanks. I went through years of denying metal totally. Then, in November, my friend and I did 10 days in a car, and he has a killer stereo in the car. He had some metal with him, and at first when he put it on, I just groaned, to myself, of course. But, soon as he was singing along with it, I started hearing in the lyrics. As a matter of fact, I liked it so much, he sent me 3 albums of the same group. I don't think they are together anymore, but it was Scatterbrain. Fine LineDon't Call Me Dude
TexasToest: Scatterbrain is cool - I have their CD's somewhere in my closet. I can almost still hear the song "don't call me dude" in my head... think I might check out the link to refresh my mind a little more.
I use to listen to metal in my youth - today, i listen to just about everything, but mostly country.
Whilse playing on iyt I came accross a guy who was an original member of this group in the 70s. Just goes to show you never know who plays here or there!
coan.net: Today's country has so much Southern Rock in it, that it appeals to a wider audience than it used to. I still get a kick out of hearing Van Zant on the Country stations.........

I was sent this by someone on Pocket Monkey. I was tempted to post it on the Jokes board, but then thought as it was intended to be Music, I'd put it here.
