BIG BAD WOLF: It's just a theoretical situation, no real pond...I only wanted to post it here in order to show what I consider as real hard situations to resolve...

Player 1 : 10000
Player 2 : 9956
Player 3 : 9668
Player 4 : 9599
Player 5 : 9597
In the previous round, Irishrose fell in the pond with a 2500-point bet (bet everything she had left), and the round before, the bets were varying between 3000 and 4000...
Provided the last bet was in high 4000s, it would be a mistake if Vikings bet anything else but 5991 (in my opinion, of course). All of the players will bet more than 5779, that's clear. Now the second place is only 181 points above the last place so after this round, nobody should have more than 500 points, which is a proven win for the 1st place runner. If you bet lower than what Chuck has left, it's most likely you're going to fall in the pond.
If I was Chuck, I'd bet everything.
If I was Thad, I'd bet everything also.
If I was Nothingness, I'd bet 5780 hoping that Pedro would bet at least 30 points more than me.
If I was Pedro (), I'd risk it and bet 5471, trying to pass Vikings to the 1st place.
And Viking's bet is clear, 5991.
Andre Faria: So you can take bets out of 10 ponds and create such formula based on them? Based on bets of about 30 people? Bets from the prehistory of pond betting at BK? And this formula will give you "optimized" bet for ALL the upcoming ponds where the bets are so much different from how they used to be when this respective pond was played? Where such a huge number of new players are playing??? Sorry but you must be kidding...
Notice its number is 10 and it was started January 20.
Can anyone please answer this question? Is it possible to create such formula you guys are talking about when so few ponds had been finished before the start of this pond? And can it be successfully used for all the upcoming ponds, which are not rigid as for the bets, as we all know?
Thad: He's a liar. First of all, I don't believe there even IS such a formula, a formula that could be successfully used for the BK ponds. Second, Trice used to send me his bets in one of the ponds but from round 8 (or 7), he stopped doing that. I don't know why but the fact is that more than half of the bets were based on my knowledge I shared with Trice (considering someone downgrading to a pawn or someone who has not logged in since the last deadline) rather than on his doubtful formula. The fact also is that after round seven, my position was 24th out of 42. I think that might have scared Trice. I am 100% certain I wouldn't make it to 7th place in this pond with "Trice's help".
Well, there are some but definitely not easy ones...
E.g. go to your profile, get a list of your running ponds and check each of them whether you're still out of the pond or already in it...[]...or the other way around, and write down the list you're asking for...:)
BIG BAD WOLF: We all wanted to get the bonus...Maxxina wanted to get ahead of you, I wanted to pass Maxxina and Vikings me, although it was almost impossible for him to do that...every position counts...you bet Maxxina is going to go for the bonus again

Andre thought Molly would bet more than what you had left and wanted to secure the first place by betting one point more than what Molly had left. It was not a pointless and nonsensical bet from him, he was just unlucky...in these situations you never know...I have already said somewhere that I find these decisions (3 people left in a pond with very high amounts of remaining points) the hardest ones at all in ponds....
Nope, he said he wouldn't have been able to make his moves every day. I changed it to a 2-days-per-move pond a couple of minutes ago, so hopefully he'll sign up.
tonyh: I see 6612 but the system doesn't include any of the bonuses (8) Barb has collected throughout the pond in the number we see WHEN this person receives the bonus in the particular round we're looking at...
