Anybody have any idea what the longest running tournament at this site was? I'm in one that's been running since January 2005. Since my opponent appears to take full advantage of the 7 day time limit, I'm optimistic about it lasting the rest of the decade.

Tigger very good idea to bring up to Fencer. No prize tourney should show up in the listing UNTIL payment is made. That is a really good idea.

Eriisa I recall that incident from way back when also. I think Tiggers idea would help in that area too!

Rose: I wrote Mike right after he created the Tourney and pointed out that the tourney said he was giving a years rook to anyone who signs up. His reply to me sounded like that was how he wanted it.

I seem to recall that someone (who is no longer on this site) had created a tourney that was to have a prize, and just before it started he removed the prize and changed the time limit to over a month. That is one reason why there are some restrictions on editing.

Rose: That's true. Money for prize tourney's should show up right away or they shouldn't be posted. IMO I've run 4 prize tourneys and people have the right to expect the tourney $$ to be there sooner rather than later.
