Socrates: Now you've done it. He'll start stamping his feet in a tantrum. Grim, put us all on ignore please. This forum would be a better place if you did.
It looks as if Ustica has affected you emotionaly on this checkers website Mr. Trice. You're acting like a child - Obviously your statements aren't important to other brainking players. You don't see us agreeing with and encouraging your statements.
Socrates: Thanks for the echo..this is what I have been trying to say. Maybe not clear enough. Checkers is supposed to be a gentleman's game. I understand the frustration of not winning but that does not justify personal attacks.
Grim Reaper: What seems bizzare to me is that in head to head meetings that someone who has beaten Alex the world's champion and has thousands of dollars worth of program equipment can do no better than draw Ustica..then not only looks for excuses but questions the integrity of other players. You are not discussing checkers but people's character. So please stick to checkers.
John Baker: Also Pinchito is under no obligation to explain any moves he makes or doesn't make. I don't even know if he speaks English. He beat me..no big deal..but he lost to Ruffian. Who the heck is Ruffian? Again, completed game analysis is welcome..you can even say someone made a dumb move as long as no one implies that the person is dumb or that they are being dishonest. This is not rocket science. For all the "genius" claimed by some people the stark fact remains..they can't beat Ustica.
Grim Reaper: I think you expect too much out of players. I've played pinchitos a few times and he's good, but he's not a master. I don't recognize the position you reference as a winning one and I don't expect he would have either. I saw a couple moves where I would have done something different, but I still haven't seen the game get thrown away. Maybe you're way too advanced for us Grim. They should make a special forum just for you, so you can have an outlet for your accusations.
Oh, and by the way, Ustica is "supposed" to win. lol
John Baker
Grim Reaper: Purple is right, if you have any accusations of cheating its best sent to Fencer rather than put on a public board to blacken the name of a possibly innocent person.
Grim Reaper: You have now smeared two people with unsubstantiated accustations. If you have anything send it to Fencer. If you do not then consider this a final warning.
Grim Reaper: yes, any advanced player that took his time would know how to draw this and know how to win if that winning smother came up. but this site has a wide range of players with different skill level so they might of wanted to see a possible win if the tempting 21-25 was taken! I'll work on your tough ending, thanks.
Grim Reaper: That looks like an interesting game. I'll watch to see how it unfolds.
On this same line, I think it'd be cool to have a "watch" feature on this site. (Like on eBay) Players could put other people's games on a "watch list" and see them on their Main page. Wouldn't that be cool?
Socrates: No, you can only participate in one tournament at a time. I'm in the middle of one right now and I hope it finishes up in time for me to join this new one.
Jumper: Furthermore, the game that would follow such a progression would virtually have its own database of positions. It might be fun for two players here to play the moves through till both have all kings, then play from there. I for one, would want to watch. Grim Reaper and Pedro Martínez again? Or someone else?
