MagicDragon: I am on DSL cable.. whatever it is.. hehe.. but, when I was on dial up.. no long distance was needed.. unless the number you dialed to.. was..
MagicDragon: If you are looking for speed.. no phone connection.. go with an ethernet card.. which is what I think Rose was meaning.. I do believe that is standard now in puters.. with this card you can get cable connection or broadband.. Way faster than dialup..
BIG BAD WOLF: My opinion as well.. Macs are nice for what you stated earlier.. but, for the www.. and mingling with friends.. and every day use.. GO PC..
Well.. I know they are saved as a dbx file.. I honestly can't remember the steps to how I saved them. I know it ended up being a click of a button.. since I needed to erase my hard drive and didn't have the time to individually go into each one and copy and paste to my word.. I think I just did the save as.. and it saved each and everyone of my files even the inbox and the deleted folders content..
I have tried several ways to get the messages back into the proggie.. I attached them to an email from my Yahoo and tried sending them to my main email..
I was trying to do the import export thing.. but, really get confused which one I use.. Like.. would I go into OE.. and hit the import.. and then pick the files.. Or do I go to the files.. and export them Outlook..
It is probably something really simple.. although, I don't have 35 dollars an hour to call a tech at Outlook.. And as far as reading up on it.. I have too many other things happening in my life at the current time.. that I just didn't have the time to put into it.. After the New Year.. I will have to unless this is enough infor for you to learn to help me..
*sorry if I sound scatter brained.. been surviving on very little sleep the past several nights..*
About a month ago I had to reformat my hard drive and before doing so I saved all my files in my OE6.. I then copied them on to cd.. Well, I reformatted and then reinstalled and now when I try to view those files from OE6.. since they are on my desk top.. when I click the file it brings up the OE6 proggie but won't let me open it.. arggh.. does anyone know how I can get back into these files..
I have lots of NAMI, LIONS and past Homework assignments in them that I don't wish to lose..
Anyone have any other firewalls they recommend.. I run an XP and recently had to reformat my system.. hesitate on the zonealarm cause I wanted to learn it there was something better..
I was playing my games on here just yesterday.. I must have clicked something.. now my text in my browser window is huge.. how do I get the text back to how it was??
I am a full time student taking 2 courses this semester online.. as well as use the computer for entertainment.. I want something fast.. and usually have cable connection..
