I use IE.. and for the last week.. my pages to my game boards are sluggish.. they are having to download the game board itself..

My question.. Is this happening to everyone? Or did I alter something in my internet options?

MagicDragon: If you are looking for speed.. no phone connection.. go with an ethernet card.. which is what I think Rose was meaning.. I do believe that is standard now in puters.. with this card you can get cable connection or broadband.. Way faster than dialup..

Well.. I know they are saved as a dbx file.. I honestly can't remember the steps to how I saved them. I know it ended up being a click of a button.. since I needed to erase my hard drive and didn't have the time to individually go into each one and copy and paste to my word.. I think I just did the save as.. and it saved each and everyone of my files even the inbox and the deleted folders content..

I have tried several ways to get the messages back into the proggie.. I attached them to an email from my Yahoo and tried sending them to my main email..

I was trying to do the import export thing.. but, really get confused which one I use.. Like.. would I go into OE.. and hit the import.. and then pick the files.. Or do I go to the files.. and export them Outlook..

It is probably something really simple.. although, I don't have 35 dollars an hour to call a tech at Outlook.. And as far as reading up on it.. I have too many other things happening in my life at the current time.. that I just didn't have the time to put into it.. After the New Year.. I will have to unless this is enough infor for you to learn to help me..

About a month ago I had to reformat my hard drive and before doing so I saved all my files in my OE6.. I then copied them on to cd.. Well, I reformatted and then reinstalled and now when I try to view those files from OE6.. since they are on my desk top.. when I click the file it brings up the OE6 proggie but won't let me open it.. arggh.. does anyone know how I can get back into these files..

I have lots of NAMI, LIONS and past Homework assignments in them that I don't wish to lose..

for a free firewall??

Anyone have any other firewalls they recommend.. I run an XP and recently had to reformat my system.. hesitate on the zonealarm cause I wanted to learn it there was something better..

I think the older puter.. wouldn't have enough space to put in the full version of XP.. from 98..

I had win 95.. then win 98.. work on the win 2000 and win 2000 NT.. on campus.. now I have XP Home.. I like it I guess..

Why go back to win98..?? ME supposedly implements better capabilities than Windows 95 or 98 for applications that appeal more so for home users..

Playing Games
and Accessing the Internet..

It also makes it easier to connect to all kinds of new devices such as..

Internet Cameras
Digital Cameras
Scanners
Read/Write CD-ROM Drives

If any of this may apply to you.. or affect the outcome of software and hardware you currently use.. you might wish to reconsider..
