Discussing favorite movies is a great topic but keep in mind some folks haven't seen the movie yet we may be discussing so don't give the endings away!

Hi, I have recently watched two films:
1. Pay It Forward: has Kevin Spacey & the young lad out of The Sixth Sense (forgotton his name lol) in it. I really enjoyed it, a happy & very sad film! :o)
2. Dog Soldiers: low budget British film about WereWolves! Scarey!!!
Ive seen Hattie Hayridge live doing stand-up comedy, she was brilliant! :oD
Hmmmmm dont know if I have a fav character, I like them all really for differnt reasons & together they make a great team! :o)
Yes I have seen the Brittas Empire.....& Mr Brittas is sooooooooo annoying, put politely! LOL
BTW another British comedy series you may be interested in, which is also by Terry Gilliam & Michael Palin, done in the late '70's, is "Ripping Yarns"...ever heard of it? Very funny! :oD
Plus Ive just recently watched Jabberwocky (I know its not a Python as such, but a Terry Gilliam/Michael Palin) Have you seen that? I thought it was fantastic! :oD
LOL yeah thats the problem, when its somewhere handy you keep going back even though you dont want to....our local newsagents is like that!
Ok, some others I can think of....have you seen any of these?
American Beauty
Donnie Darko
6th Sense
Saving Private Ryan
they are big films & your video shop would more than likely have them in (hopefully) :o)
What kind of films do you like Linda, or which type would you prefer to watch for tonight?
We need to get the guy at your movie rental place to watch some good comedy films & maybe he may lighten up! lol :oD

All the best for the New Year to everyone aswell!! :o)
My opinion of great films within the last 5 years (not in any particular order) would include:
Young Adam
Moulin Rouge
The Others
High Fidelity
LA Confidential
28 days later
Billy Elliot
O Brother Where Art Thou
Hi Magenta Spiral, Im very interested to know just which films you HAVE been watching?????
I dont make a habit of watching many Hollywood blockbuster or 'fast action/lustmance teen movies' as you have stated we all do on this board (where you got that idea from I dont know either???) There are a hell of alot of films produced, within the last 5 years, by excellent directors, with fascinating plots, intense acting & amazing cinema photography!
Maybe you have just been sitting watching something like Jurassic Park over & over & over??????????????? lol
Sorry Magenta to disagree, this is not the debate board I know so I dont really want to argue this, but ALL movies nowadays do not suck & I cannot beleive you manage to see every single movie produced to have such an opinion!
There are some fantastic new films around! What I do agree is that there are also some rubbish films made.....but Im sure thats always been the case! Also at the end of the day it is a matter of opinion/taste :o)
Anyone seen 'Lord of the Rings: Return of the King' yet? I went to see it on Boxing Day & its fantastic!!!! (same as the other two were)
What did anyone else think?
My partner & myself went to see a space documentary at the IMAX cinema in Birmingham & I thought it was overwhelming!!! The size of the screen, the sound & generally the whole atmosphere!! They do 3D movies aswell which we want to go to next! :o)
