Dolittle: and Erlisa you both make me jealous. Were sure to still get snow right into April. My daffodils are peaking but may go back to sleep lol.Nothing else is budding yet, sure wish my lilacs were thats a sure sign of Spring.
ajtgirl: Ours is called ARC about the same as yours but it's mostly adults.
I may take my Rose bush out and work more with my grapevines. My daffodils are peeking out with the crazy weather were getting.
plaintiger: Thats how i bought mine, than i put it in some topsoil and fed it deleuted coffee and whamo it took off = growing. It's doing real good and loves the sun, when we have some.
ScarletRose: Yes rotating the veggie plants we also do,never plant the same thing every year in the same spot. Now i'd love to have my Bamboo outside but like my banana tree it is indoors.Winters are too harsh here in CNY except this year its been very unusually warm.
Eriisa: Ahhhhh Roses now that depends where you live.My area we prune them in the fall.We haven't had good luck with them, alot of little green wormies.yukky......
My blueberry bush does well with the coffee ground method. We put used grounds around the bushes and water them. Our soil here is very clay like concrete. You could have your soil tested.
ScarletRose: They sell a Pine scented spray you can spray the tree with.We usually put ours up about a week before, this year with the baby all over i'm thinking of putting the tree in the play pen.Safety reasons for the tree mind you.Nahhhh i'm worried about the pine needles and her grabbing at the tree.We did this with Gabrielle and it worked out well.
ScarletRose: My husband always re-cuts the tree after we get it home and gets it in a big pail of water. We never put it up too early the heat drys it out.SR we tried all the tricks even the aspirin but constant watering works best for us.Reason for re-cutting is the sap runs to the bottom and reseals itself.
