dont vine about the winter. spring will come soon and squash the snow..and wintr will just have bean a memory. try to maintain a cherry outlook till then and dont beet your head against the wall.lettuce pray for sunshine and pretend we dont carrot at all the snow & cold.
no snow yet here in richmond hill,ontario no skiing,no ski bunnies,no snow ball fights,no getting tacked by the girls & having snow stuffed down your pants(sigh)

plaintiger: off topic a lil' please forgive...but someone mentioned ice cream......mmmmm. there is a place in chinatown here..serves lychee nut ice cream. also on st.clair,in the italian community..a place that makes fresh gelato in flavours: cinnammon,hazelnut,chestnut,fig,ginger,pistacio..and many more.
ajtgirl: every year since I was 8 I have had a herb garden...learned from mr.cannon..who ran the pioneer herb garden at pioneer village in toronto.amateur botanist since before the south fell.I do find the unusual members of the botanic world interesting to learn about..not that I suggest we grow them...just trying to expand your green horizons a little.

heavenlyemma: I grow herbs too: love the smell of a row of sweet basil my sage is 5 years old...can't wait till it blooms. rosemary is doing well ..its on its second year
in the forest near me...in a pile of leaves..is a slime mold..I have heard of them..I know they creep/move slowly...this one I pass every 3 days..can actually see it has moved...has anyone else ever seen one?
well ms foxy doesn't mind a LITTLE humour,even if some of these snorks are real lemons(pun).
but seriously,lettuce leaf these jokes alone & get down to the real dirt and discusss some real gardening issues.
anyone got any tips/experience with growing veggies?shall we share?
