BerniceC:I've found previously if you try growing from seed that have been in the fridge, the success rate isn't that good. I suppose a lot depends on how cold your fridge is set
I live in richmond hill but have access to a greenhouse

Foxy Lady: This might be straying a little off topic, but that made me think of eggplant parmesan. That is my favorite! Never thought about growing the eggplants though.
(Its really bad when you have to run to the pantry and find the Kraft Parmesan cheese to see how to spell Parmesan!!!)
Foxy Lady: We've got funny conditions at present, plenty of rain and warmth, so the grass needs cutting every couple of days. Don't get much time to sit and enjoy it.
danoschek: Thanks Dano,,not surprised YOU replied you seem to have some knowledge about most things :) you know why i need to brag about germans? ...I leaned towards airmix holes too but i wanted it confirmed. I bought that grill at a Walmart clearance and you never know what you get there :)
Andersp: such 'holes' are customary and work like with the Bunsen-Burner,
they decrease gas consumption by adding some air to a gas/air mix - you will get
a rather mellow flame without them, or the straight blast with some extra air soaked ... ~*~
Wondering if any grilling experts could tell me if those 2 holes on the "pipe" to the burner are ok and in that case why they are supposed to be there. Seems as a gas leak to me :)
Dolittle: Patience is a virtue,
possess it if you can,
always found in woman,
never found in man.
hehehehe
put the pot in the shed and forget about it lOLOL....god knows how long....I just threw mine in the ground and hoped for the best....it could take weeks because of the difference in temperatures :)
BerniceC: Ten will do, yup for the first year.I'd be happy with that. This vine was given to me and it's quite huge and has already produced so i'm keeping my fingers crossed. My husband built gee i can't think of what it's called, but anyways, were going to put our picnic table under it.That brings me to memories of the one my Granmother had not a hint of sun on her picnic table, and about 10 degrees cooler.
Foxy Lady: I have a Muscat grape growing and this is the 2nd year and I actually got a bunch of grapes HAHAHAHA...it had 10 grapes on it ROFLMBO...but god they tasted beautiful :)
cant wait for next year lOLOL
I hope yours are more successful Foxy:)
skipinnz: You are correct....I have seen where the tops have been cut and they spread rather than grow tall. I havent cut mine as yet because we are still getting fruit from the top :)
and yes a tin or plastic bucket over the top to prevent water getting in and rotting same :)
