i'm not fond of it either. It brought a new dimension to the game the way it was. Seems too restrictive now. Isn't there room for both variants? One with more volcanoes and lateral moves and one without or some combination thereof?
a very good point as well, maybe we can agree on that. You'll still need to type notes as to which of your pieces you know or think as exposed to the other side among other things, so it won't eliminate the notes, just the quantity.
i know what you mean, nothingness, and I tried that..for about 5 moves. It just became too much like work and not enough fun. I appreciate your ability to do that and that's why you are one of the best players on this site. How about a compromise, Fencer. Could you show captured pieces for fast and/or small espionage, because people play those games usually to expedite the monotony of regular espionage games. Most of my games have taken close to 100 moves and haven't been fulfilling!
