anastasia: I'll say one thing,Obama is bound to make enough mistakes during his presidency, these flawed appointments could have been avoided. Why he's giving his opponents freebies baffles me
Czuch: I'd normally agree with you on this one,but Hudson lost 3 members of her family recently in a savage attack,if heart and soul have any value, she delivered
Czuch: People tend to confuse "global warming" with "heat"...............a cold winter and the nay sayers feel the argument has been quashed.I'm not completely sold on the "global warming prophacy, but the unusually cold and stormy winter we are enduring is not a valid argument, quite the contrary actually.I can understand how some may think "hey,if it was a warm winter you'd also say it validates the argument, you want it both ways"
The truth is,our very erratic weather patterns are example enough.
Czuch: I personally think you can kiss any return on your investment goodbye.I'm not even sure the Iraqi govt is in your corner as much as has been depicted by the BUSH tenure. If I put myself in the position of someone who to this day supports the whole Iraq experience,I'd be mad as hell at there luke warm support.Didn't they recently state the USA would not get preferential treatment in the oil contracts? for that alone I'd send them back to the stonage
Czuch: And may I add,it wasn't just Democrats who wanted to leave Iraq...............I think there were other options available once it was determined to be bad judgement.Other nations might have been agreeable to a different direction, and helped stabalize the situation.........it just always seemed to me like a gambler who had blown their money, but kept doubling up the bets to recoup what they originally arrived at the casino with.Where's the Iraq oil money that was supposed to help in the operation? Think of all the billions spent in Iraq that would be so valuable now
Czuch: So,you think Democrats wanted to leave Iraq to make Bush look bad,and not due to the thousands of lives being lost after it was determined the initial threat and reason for war was false? GOOD GOD
Czuch: I disagree,Bush's support didn't start to REALLY plummet until after the war began.Once the public came to realise how much they'd been misled on so many levels,he tanked.
Democrats supported the war,but only based on what they were fed as facts.
Czuch: Yes,so basically he only hopes he succeeds by implimenting a Republican agenda. It seems he'd be unhappy with a flourishing USA if it is achieved by a liberal agenda
anastasia: Limbaugh's feelings on success,he basically says he only wants Obama to succeed if he rules with a Republican agenda, regardless of the country doing well under Obama's watch.
Charles Martel: He'll have his share,I won't be surprised at all by the inevitable backlash when people learn he's flesh and blood and can't walk on water.
Artful Dodger: He took the oath again strictly to short curcuit the usual suspects who latch onto these types of things,it happens in both parties. He has much more important issues on his plate. This had the potential to create needless white noise.
Ted Kennedy was taken out of the Statuary Hall luncheon after suffering an apparent seizure -- a few minutes after Sen. Robert Byrd was removed in his wheelchair under the supervision of medical personnel.
"He was there when the voting rights act passed….so I would be lying to you if I did not say that right now a part of me is with him, I think that’s true for all of us," Obama told dignitaries gathered at his Congressional lunch . "It’s a joyous time but it’s also a sobering time..My prayers are with him and his family."
White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who attended the lunch, said he had heard Kennedy was "doing better," citing Kennedy's fellow Massachusetts Democrat John Kerry.
House Chaplain Daniel Coughlin, who observed Kennedy's treatment by paramedics, said he appeared to be conscious and "responding" to treatment.
Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) said Kennedy's hand began shaking and he appeared to have "seizure" or "a stroke" and was almost immediately helped by emergency personnel.
Byrd was conscious and had been having trouble eating, according to a witness.
Kennedy, who underwent brain cancer surgery last year, was taken to the Rayburn room after suffering an apparent convulsion before being rushed to a hospital, House officials told our Patrick O'Connor.
A police radio picked up a call for paramedics to help someone stricken with a seizure, O'Connor said
Czuch: Obama is smart,he is going to try and steamroll his agenda by gathering bi partisan support, and those who stand in the way will be considered to be standing in the way of American progress.
Субъект: Re: but I don't think anyone doubts Bush was a weekend warrior with very little interest in serving in the military.
Artful Dodger: I think you give too too little acknowledgement to the value of nuance in a presentation, Fox is Fox,according to you they're very misunderstood.I happen to think the general view of their presentation is in the ballpark.Where do you see Fox leaning?
Субъект: Re: but I don't think anyone doubts Bush was a weekend warrior with very little interest in serving in the military.
Artful Dodger: You're far too diplomatic in your opinions
I don't know if I agree with being lumped into your "anti-Fox" gang.I often watch Fox,now and again I'm on board with their slant,(such as the present war in Gaza)but I've rarely come across anyone who isn't aware of the "slant" liberal or republican.I suppose I'm a "tweener" these days,so save the Coulter shtick for a hardcore lib
I don't think libs are the only ones underwhelmed by GW''s act
Artful Dodger: Rather blew it,it was sad to see,but it shouldn't diminish his entire career.Yes Rather didn't have the proper airtight background when he went out on a limb, but I don't think anyone doubts Bush was a weekend warrior with very little interest in serving in the military.
Субъект: Re: Fox/MSNBC can be tossed out as a wash, concerning left/right leanings
Artful Dodger: Yes,I intended to say counter balance to Hannity. It seems to me that the only reason people get worked up about Fox News is due their need to deny their right wing leanings.Who cares? do they think it somehow discredits their opinions?
Субъект: Re: Fox/MSNBC can be tossed out as a wash, concerning left/right leanings
Artful Dodger: Colmes is also gone now from prime time, they didn't replace him with a liberal counter balance. You can find studies till the cows come home, any intelligent individual who has watched both MSNBC and Fox(for a fair amount of time) can sense their leanings,it's not even subtle
Czuch: I saw him discuss, and make the same points on air at around 5pm est.I searched CNN to find the The McCafferty File section and he discusses it on his blog also
Субъект: Re: he said the biggest snob are those who obtained wealth after coming from nothing. Conservs think if they can do it everyone can. Not true.
Artful Dodger: once you begin to alter your lifestyle due to fear, the terrorists will have won.
Субъект: Re: he said the biggest snob are those who obtained wealth after coming from nothing. Conservs think if they can do it everyone can. Not true.
Artful Dodger: re: "We as a society want to protects our personal lives so much that we are willing to allow for bad things to happen, to protect individual lives"
Субъект: Re:Huffington herself isn't any better maybe worse
Artful Dodger: Oh come on
I'm a pretty open minded guy,The Drudge Report is my launch page, but Coulter is off the rails nutty compared to both Huffinton's page or personal outlook
Субъект: Re:We need to understand the enemy and why they are mad and try to find common ground blah blah blah
Artful Dodger: W're on the same page on this topic,I know the guy you're speaking of,I've heard him many times but his names escapes me.It really turned my stomach when he mentioned how SOME Arab schools teach young children hate filled anti Jewish songs, they are raised to hate from infancy, the cycle must end!
