spicieangel: You can also by special kitty grass from all good pet shops that they can eat and that lthem get rid of the fur balls, also special dry cat food, designed for fur balls can help, that also can be bought at pet shops
Matarilevich: So sad to hear of the loss of your little friend - she's beautiful - Don't worry too much, she's very happy, healthy, and content wherever loved pets go to from here - she'll be okey and I'm sure she'll never forget you either - love is eternal, in whatever form it takes
Love, for any creature on this earth, doesn't ever end, so how could they? Anybody that's ever loved an animal/pet knows how unique and special they each are (just like us humans) - I have faith that they get to go on too, otherwise what would be the point of their spending lives (usually way too short) with us? Wherever she is, she's happy & knows that someone, somewhere loves her
Tuesday: Let me tell you something, hopefully it will cheer u up abit. Oliver my ickle pussy cat was asleep on the bed this afternoon, and broke wind while he was asleep, fell off the bed, woke up, looked at me broke wnd again and walked off...........it was so damn funny
Matarilevich: I don't know if this will make much sense, but I had a pet rat named Ann. I taught kindergarten at the time and the kids loved playing with her. She's sit on my shoulder and never messed when we held her. She was the first pet rat I'd ever had. I had many other pet rats after she died but not one could replace her. There was something special about her. It's been many years since she died and I still think of her. Perhaps it was special because she was our class pet too. But she was so loving. I can't believe I'm saying that about a rat but it's true. I'm saddened for you and your loss. I wish our pets could live longer. Take Care. ;)
Matarilevich: so sorry for your little pet dying.I nkow it is hard,no matter if it's a dog,cat guinie pig, rat, snake, whatever, they still touch your heart in so many ways

anastasia: Honestly, i laughed that much i was crying, it was the look on his face, when he broke wind the second time, looked at me like to say " oh yeah what do u think your laughing at " He looked so disgusted that i was laughing at him LOL
Mousetrap: im not sure how to post a link here but this is a page with the rainbow bridge story on it.http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm its very moving. Well I think it is.
dogs can easily choke on it when the original large rawhide object is chewed down to a smaller piece. “Choking is a hazard, and rawhide can cause gastric irritation when dogs chew on it often,” he says. Wedeking adds that gastric irritation can also cause vomiting and extreme discomfort in dogs. 'Tests on imported pet products made from animal hides by UK health authorities revealed many carried the salmonella bug, a common cause of gastro-intestinal infections in humans." "They found that one in three batches imported from Thailand and one in eight from China contained salmonellas that had survived processing and manufacturing"

These well-liked dog treats are purchased in large numbers, especially around holidays, by well-meaning dog owners hoping to give their pets something special. These toys are favorites for many dogs and are popular with owners because they keep their pets occupied and supposedly out of trouble during holiday activities. There are definite risks associated with these treats, however. All three types are supposedly made of digestible animal products. However, they are digested quite slowly and, if consumed rapidly, can cause either vomiting or diarrhea from the many pieces still sitting undigested in the GI tract. If the treats are swallowed whole or in large chunks, there are additional dangers. Rawhide chews can lodge in the throat and cause choking, or a large piece may be swallowed, scraping and irritating the throat and esophagus on the way down. Once in the stomach or intestinal tract, a large piece of rawhide can also create a physical obstruction. An additional danger that is less widely known is the practice, in some countries, of using an arsenic-based preservative in the processing of rawhide toys. We recommend that, if you do purchase these products, stick to brands processed in the U.S. There has also been a recent FDA alert about the risk of Salmonella accociated with dog chew products made from pork or beef-derived materials: refer to the FDA advisory or call 1-888-INFO-FDA. See below (discussion on pigs' ears) for more details.
I had no idea.. I'll make sure I talk to my local pet store about it. they sell ears by the bucket load.. they are an awesome store who arent just in it for the money. They sell all types health products for pets..
Rose: We give Damien "almost pig ears" a better alternative to real pig ears.We use to give the real ones to Patch,he loved them but the fat is so high in them. Damien loves his rawhide and we usually let him have a bone at all times..BUT..that said,he is NEVER EVER unsupervised while eating one and if he does chew chuncks off,in the trash they go.He is an agressive chewer and we have to keep him with chew things at all times, lol
Tuesday: I give Bear what we call "Y" bone steak every day. It is human food (meat) but very little fat, lots of 1/2 cooked meat and a lovely y-bone to chew on...He just loves them. He also has dried food, and I ocasionally give him chicken necks which he also loves :)
Bwild: LMAO - I think I've got you beat - my dog used to eat chicken bones galore when we lived in a city, now that we're rural, she LOVES cat poo - we've got stray/outdoor cats everywhere in my little town & she hunts that stuff out, even tho she KNOWS it's wrong, she's got an addiction to it
I forgot to tell you guys...2 weeks ago when I was coming home with my husband from his PT..we saw a bald eagle!!! OMG!! It was unbelievable! He was flying towards a grouping of trees. We had heard that there was one or 2 in the area but to actually see it...just don't have the words to express it!!!
