Why would someone want to make more then one account. As for stoping them you could make them show ID but there would be know way stoping them from using someone elses ID for the secound account.

Walter Montego: I don't know Backgammon but I would consider Dark Chess a game of skill just like poker is a game of skill. It involves knowing your odds and playing acordingly. As for 50/50 it does not have to be that specifically. Fencer should get a cut to help keep the site going. Besides in a tournament with 20 people in it, 10 peoples entrence is a lot still.

BIG BAD WOLF: Here is an idea. If the laws in Check allow it maybe Fencer should think of starting a new site(brainkingmoney.com it is available). And have only games of skill chess, penta, reversi, ect were the gambling can be done. This way BrainKing.com can't be blocked for gambling and Fencer can rake in a lot of dow from the gamblers. Have everything 50/50 type tournaments. Fencer gets half the winer gets half.

Ändrat av mctrivia (20. december 2005, 01:54:03)
I was woundering if there could ba a way I could post my current BKR for one or several games on my own web site using either SSI or a on the fly generated graphic with a 4 digit number in it. My server has the capability of executing prety much any type of scripting.

I was thinking of puting an ad for BrainKing on my web site and would like to be able to include my BKRs in the ad. It would also be nice if I could add something so you could track people I refered and have myself added to the brain referel automatically.

I would love to be able to imbed pictures into my messages without using links. I can think of many reasons to why this may be bad but was thinking that to allow the BigBoss to imbed pictures from there own server might be nice. Even if they could do it for news events only.

grenv: I have seen CGI applications that will generate images on the fly. This could be used to make up the board. Another option is break each box down into smaller parts so you are on a rectangular board with only a few pieces being part of each players.

WhiteTower: yes I understod. just thinking back to the original idea more then 2 player games. And then limiting to must be playable in a rectangualr grid.

Even risk could be played on a rectangular grid if you drew up a similar map with lines connecting points instead of actual country boarders.

Would be cool if the first time a new event shows up you had the option to play a short audio clip to get your attention. This would be good if you are playing and doing something else while waiting for your oponent to make a move or waiting for a reply in a message board.

playBunny: It should work like this:

When you log on to a message board and there is a new message refresh is turned off. If no new messages it will be in whatever state you left it in.(or just on by default). It should stop autorefreshing as soon as there is a new message so you can read in peace and start again when you press the link.

Not sure if this is possible but instead of the refreshing of the message boards create your own irc server and anything posted on the message board would also be posted on the IRC chat room of the same name and anything posted on the IRC chat room would also be posted on the message board. If you did this you could also have an IRC boat in the chat rooms that would send them a private message with the last 20 messages if they asked for it.

Fencer: I think you have mistaken what I am asking for. I am not asking for something to show everyones real names. I am sugesting the ability for the user if they know someones real name(I.E. my friends) they can type it in and it will show up instead of there silly nick name or beter yet have both show suck as "Mark D(sdgjksdgetj)" so you still know what to call them in public forems. Everyone else would see them as sdgjksdgetj. You may see him as "Big Guy(sdgjksdgetj) and someone else may see him as "cool man(sdgjksdgetj)". Each user would by default see him as sdgjksdgetj but people could if they wanted rename him to a name that only shows up for them.

Ämne: Re: Rename users
Fencer: Well then just limit it to 15 letters for this also. If I could see "Mark D" instead of sdgjksdgetj(not actual user name) it would be a lot easier. I don't need to see his whole name. Just something a little easier for me to recognice then the silly name he put in.

For example only games with time per move between 1 day and 7 days.

How about allowing people to put a persons real name with there friends nick names. For example if I have Fencer in my friends list I could set his real name as "Filip Rachunek" and any time I read a post writen by Fencer or see a game created by him it would show up as Filip Rachunek(Fencer).
