Those look like snowdrops...some type of bulb that blooms in early spring
I don't know their real name

avalanches keep certain pathways scoured of trees in some mountains.
allowing sun & space for certain platns to grow.When the snow melts high in the Cascades, the Avalanche Lilies come out. They will still your breathe away when you come upon an alpine meadow blanketed with them.

rednaz23: LOL we got crazy weather today high of 47 and the snow is gone.

Foxy Lady: Bringing it back to gardening; the weather in both regions is very similar. Minnesota gets a bit colder, but upstate NY gets a bit more snow, ok... a lot more snow. All and all, I can relate to the weather.

On Tuesday and Wednesday here, it never got above 5 degrees F. COLD!!! I was blue from the cold!

Yesterday (Saturday), it hit 54 here. Just the weirdest weather! I could tell you all about it... but that would be sad... I was studying to be a meteorologist until not long ago when I switched to another field, and then switched again, again, again, and... again.

I did not add that exclamation point to my post... I have no idea how that got in there!

It has been colder. It dropped to below zero suddenly November I think it was. Climate change is affecting the coast here. On one side of the country the coast is receding and on the other side it is gaining. I forget which side is for which.
I see the President has decided to do something at last because of the Polar bears.

Mousetrap: Crazy weather all around i guess.Whats Bush doing now,something usful i hope.I don't keep up with the news anymore.

Foxy Lady: I hardly watch the tv myself anymore, too much doom and gloom. I prefer a good DVD and a Pizza!
