Since that setting is stored on the server, the next time you login you'll be in KeyMode. The sure way to get out of it is by clicking on a flag, to change your default language again. So probable just one of the "loop holes" in the coding. Most people are OK with it, and will only test it with unrated games and such - but there are a few on this site who will do anything to gain rating points - which some would call cheating, but they would probable say something like "Well the system allowed me to do it so it must be OK" or something like that.
