Terry Trotter, aka jestone, is very sick right now. I would ask those of you who know him to pray and wish for the quickest recovery. He has been through a lot in his life and all i wish him is peace.
Prayer is powerful! As we grow in our understanding of that, our desire to pray grows. As our prayers turn outward, beyond just our own concerns and needs, God stirs our hearts to pray more. He opens our eyes to the outer circle of our lives and calls us to pray there too.
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints" (Ephesians 6:18).
As God stirs your heart, you become aware of situations and people in your outer circle of life. You feel an interest and a concern. This is often God's call to pray. Learn to recognize it and embrace it as an opportunity to ask that God's Kingdom be established in that life or that situation.
This focus helps ward off judgment and criticism and asks the Holy Spirit to be at work in that particular life or circumstance.Pray for your church...especially for unity and for God to be glorified.Pray for your neighbors and your community. God may impress on you to pray for a specific home or for an area such as your schools or safety in your community.Pray for your city and your country and that the leaders would be led by God.Pray for missionaries or ministries God has brought to your attention.
Simply be alert. If a particular country or situation on the news pulls at your heart, quietly ask God to intervene there.
Ask God what is on His heart. Listen for His still, small voice to speak to you. Let God enlarge your circle of praying. When we invite Him to do that in us and through us it can become our natural response.
Yes, all the prayers have seemed to help. She still thinks I am a liar, but she is not calling me any evil names, anymore. I asked that she stop emailing me, and she said she would. I just keep praying that the truth be revealed to her! Thanks, guys for your prayers!
Well good luck. If ya find out who and how she was deceived, perhaps ya can ease her pain. It sounds like she may be hurtin a little. I'll pray fer ya and her.
I would really like it if everyone could pray for my friend, She plays over here and iyt and a few others, but recently she has become decieved, and she is lashing out on me. She feels that I have betrayed her, which I haven't. I haven't spoken with her in about 4 months, and she started sending me really nasty emails these last few days. I am concerned for her. She is very angry, and bitter, and Iam not liking the person she is becoming. Can eveyone please pray that the blinders be removed from her eyes and the truth is revealed? Thank you all. And Nirvana, I am so sorry for your loss.
Howdy from Wisconsin.
Having recently registered myself, this means I have the opportunity to say a gigantic THANK YOU for the overwhelming kindness shown to the folks on BrainKing for the support and good wishes at such a tragic time. Kent and Nirvana were always very close, and we both miss him. No matter how many siblings we have you can't replace one with another.
May your lives be filled with joy and bless you all.
Thanks ladies for the well wishes. Yock said thank you very much also, it was very kind of you. His surgery went well. Wasn't as much to it as I thought. I got more grey hairs for worring for nothing. Thanks again for the prayers.
Nirvana I'm so sorry you couldn't attend. That must have been very hard. It is nice to have people rally around you when you need a friend. I'll be there for you.
Same here, Nirvana.. I am so sorry!! But remember love doesn't know any borders.. it stretches the arms around the world and reaches hearts everywhere! Your light have reached them at the funeral, im sure and may God bless you and your beloved ones during these hard times!!
Nirvana, I understand how hard it is to not be able to attend Kent's funeral. My baby sister passed away last July and I was very ill and could not attend her funeral. It was very hard! You have my sincerest sympathy and I pray that God will give you comfort!
Linda J: Think positively! We are all behind you.
I find the support of others really helps. Kent's funeral was this morning. I couldn't go (wrong country) but lit a candle, which helped. Not being able to attend the funeral is hard - but the support I have found has really helped.
Thanks to you all.
Basically...Glaucoma is a condition where the channels through which the fluid flows gradually become blocked, and the intraocular pressure gradually increases causing increasing damage to the optic nerve and gradual deterioration of vision.
glaucoma is greatly relieved by cannabis !! 2 to 3 times more effective at reducing the eye pressure without the toxic side effects associated with presently used glaucoma drugs.
Take Heart, Linda J!! I am praying right now, that his doctors will heal him appropriately; that Gods healing works through the doctors hands and ability to heal his eyes and get you the best doctors there is to deal with glucoma - i dont' know how to spell it either...
I have to take my honey in for eye surgery in the morning. A clogged tear duct that has his eye swollen and a mole looking thing in the corner of his eye. Both have to be clipped. We also found out he has glocoma. I can't even spell it. I'm more worried then he is. Oh the pains of old age. ;•)
Who am I Psalm 139 / Psalm 52 / Ephesians 2
Lyrics: Mark Hall / Music: Casting Crowns
Who am I
that the Lord of all the earth
would care to know my name
would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I
that the Bright and Morning Star
would choose to light a way
for my ever wandering heart.
Not because of who I am
But because of what you've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who you are!!!!!
I am a flower quickly fading
here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I am calling
Lord, you catch me when I am falling
And you've told me who I am
I am Yours! I am Yours!
Who am I
that the eyes that see my sin
would look on me with love and watch me rise again!
Who am I
that the voice that calmed the sea
would call out through the rain
and calm the storm in me?!!
Not because of who I am
But because of what you've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who you are!!!!!
I am a flower quickly fading
here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I am calling
Lord, you catch me when I am falling
And you've told me who I am
I am Yours!
Short musical intermezzo
Not because of who I am
But because of what you've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who you are!!!!!
I am a flower quickly fading
here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I am calling
Lord, you catch me when I am falling
And you've told me who I am
I am Yours! I am Yours! I am Yours!
I am Yours!
Whom shall I fear?
Whom shall I fear?
'Cause I am Yours!
I am Yours!

Thank you to you both. My family were always proud of Kent, who went to serve his country, following in the foosteps of our Father, who did his patriotic duty during WW2.
Some of you will have come across Hoo on IYT, my brother Craig. (I share this account with him).
Our brother Kent served his country in Vietnam, was captured with a few comrades, but not found for some time. When he was, he was badly wounded, having lost a leg. Medical treatment being denied, he relied heavily on narcotics for pain relief, needing help to recover from addiction when eventually sent home. He never really recovered from his experiences.
The Iraq war brought back many memories for him, many of which were so painful he lapsed back to his addiction. Sadly he took an overdose recently, despite much treament he did not recover and finally passed away a couple of days ago. I only hope he is at Peace at long last.
Rest in Peace, Kent. You will always be in our hearts and prayers.
Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store. She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries. She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food.
John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store.
Visualizing the family needs, she said: "Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can."
John told her he could not give her credit, as she did not have a charge account at his store.
Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family.
The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, "Do you have a grocery list?"
Louise replied, "Yes sir"
"O.K." he said, "put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries."
Louise, hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.
The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.
The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, "I can't believe it."
The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more. The grocer stood there in utter disgust.
Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement. It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer which said:
"Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands."
The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence. Louise thanked him and left the store. The customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to the grocer and said, "It was worth every penny of it."
It was sometime later that the grocer discovered the scales were broken; therefore, only God knows how much a prayer weighs.

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We confess that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and call it Pluralism.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.
Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us to the center of Your will and to openly ask these things in the name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen!"
The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest..
In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively.
The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea.
Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, "The Rest of the Story," and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired.
With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called "one nation under God."
If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends. "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for everything."
~Based on an actual prayer by Rev. Wright

To all who know RREDY:
His wonderful Mom just died of kidney failure today due to diabetes. Please keep him close in your thoughts and prayers. rredy is a very special person to me, thanks to BK.
My honey's cousin just died of liver cancer. She was only 44 years old with a little 4 year old girl. They were very close, more like sister & brother then cousins.
I am really sorry to hear about your brother and sister in laws accident.. how horrific for them :(
I wish a speedy recovery for Linda, that all will be ok.
My thoughts are with you all.
My brother Mark and his wife Linda were involved in a head-on crash this past Saturday. A truck turned in front of them. My sister-in-law has a broken ankle, a broken hand, and sustained injuries to her chest area due to the airbag. She is in a great deal of pain and they are concerned about complications. My brother is brused from the seat-belt but is otherwise ok.
This is the same brother and sister-in-law that lost their 24 yearold son about 5 years ago (in a plane crash). My brother has asked us to all pray for Linda's healing and that no complications will arise. Also, pray that the doctors and nurses will watch over Linda carefully. Thanks
