reza: System.exit() terminates the whole application, i.e. all its frames and windows. If you want to close only one frame, call its own close() method.
danoschek: Thanks, there are many useful information. However, it still doesn't solve my problem because they say "go to Internet Options / Fonts and select the font for your language script" but when I select Bengali on that panel, no fonts are provided to choose from although I have them installed on my computer.
chessmec: Yes, everything's up to date (XP SP2). I must have some strange settings somewhere. It can be a problem with the Czech version of IE which I use.

I am just experimenting with Indian languages and I've got a problem - when I try to display this page in Firefox, it works great and I can see all Bengali characters. However, Internet Explorer shows only question marks or little squares.
I think the problem is in a missing font in the Internet Explorer because I am sure I have this font installed on my computer (when I open a Wordpad, I can write in Bengali). Is there a way how to "install" the fonts to the IE?
That's not a bad idea Rose. Perhaps I could make this feature on BK for paying members. You define a lists of macros/actions, activated by a single click. Would it be interesting?
This is the list of extensions installed in my Firefox: DOM Inspector, GMail Notifier, FoxyTunes, WeatherFox, SwitchProxy Tool, Live HTTP Headers, FlashGot, Copy Plain Text, Search Status, Bandwidth Tester, Translate, View Cookies, ColorZilla.
Well, XP is stable enough for a development, I never had any problems with it (and I never get used to Linux on a client side). But I would never use XP on a server side for a production release.
I have 512 MB RAM on my BK development notebook (where I run IDE, application server and database server at once). However, I have a faster CPU (1.13 GHz).
I have only Photoshop 5 and although it has a batch processor as well, I couldn't find a way how to set it up for the task I need. The "image size" function has no percentages, only exact dimensions to change to.
Does anybody know an easy [and preferrably freeware] tool for automated image processing? For example, I have 100 or 200 images of different sizes and I need to scale them to 70% of their original size.
Well, I'd tried to use fixed column widths but with no success. Moreover, it would be risky anyway on low resolutions.
Of course, Row Layout users don't have this problem.
